Now lets get the stuff you came here for my pick of the
pokemon card of the day. Is………..*drum roll*
It’s Gold Berry!
Attach Gold Berry to 1 of your Pokemon that doesn't
Have a Pokemon Tool attached to it.
At any time between turns, if there are at least 4
Damage counters on the Pokemon Gold Berry is
Attached to, you may remove 4 of them and discard
Gold Berry. At the start of each turn, if there
Are at least 4 damage counters on the Pokemon Gold
Berry is attached to, remove 4 of them and discard
Gold Berry.

Strategies with Gold Berry
The most effective strategies with Gold Berry are to wait until
your opponent gives you the damage. Then on your turn you can take away the 40
damage from your pokemon. Makes
your pokemon last longer for more chances on getting prizes or stalling.
Good Combos with….
Rocket’s Zapdos when it does it’s 2nd attack
ElectroBurn for 70 to your opponent and with 4 lighting 40 damage to yourself,
that way you could take the damage right after you attack! All haymaker pokemon
like: Chansey, Electabuzz, Sneasel, and the rest. Another good Combo is with
rainbow energy, When you have lets say 30 damage on your Sneasal with a Darkness
energy attached since last turn with full bench you could attach a Rainbow
energy this turn and it will give you 40 damage that way when you attack with
“Beat Up” you can take off all the damage that was on him.
How to Counter Gold Berry?
Quite simple the pokemon with the Gold berry attached to
it, must be killed with one hit so the Gold berry doesn’t affect that pokemon.
Also many trainers can get the Gold berry before it comes into play including:
Rocket’s Sneak Attack, Lass, Rockets Trap, Chaos Gym and some other pokemon
like Slowking, and Dark Vileplume.

It’s a Great card! It can
let you get another chance to attack your opponent, and it can help you stall.
Reliable when you’re facing other arch types *if you play it correctly. Great
for every deck! ^_^
