Greetings, Pojoniacs. I'm here with a
deck strategy based around Neo 1
Meganium.
First of all, here is the Meganium I'm talking about.
Meganium
Stage 2 ( Evolves from Bayleef)
Pokemon Power: ( Sorry, forgot the name )
As long as this card stays in play, all G ( grass) energy attached to your G
pokemon now provide GG ( Two Grass Energy!!)
GGGG ( ? )
The defending pokemon is now poisoned.
For all you out there who don't know which one I'm talking about, its the one
that DID NOT appear in the Neo 1 Gift Set.
All the players here with living brains can see that this Meganium's pokemon
power is phenomenal. Of course, if you were to build a deck around it, you
would need at least 3. I would also have breeders, unless you were bent on
the new Bayleef.
As for other pokemon, I would suggest Venusaur, Pinsir, and Erika's Vileplume.
As for trainers, I would have Bill, GOW, Oak, Gold Berry (So Pinsir can
Stall) and Energy Search.( PLEASE don't cringe at the sight of Energy
Search,
because you really don't need that many energy at all for this kind of deck,
and just getting what you need is what this is all about). Several Comp.
Searches may be in order as well.
I would keep Pinsir out there until you can get the Meganium on the bench,
and once you do, you will want to keep it there. Due to his Poke Power, you
should only use him as a last resort. Let Pinsir sit out there with one G
energy once you've got Meganium so he can stall by paralyzing. Your next step
would be to get a Venusaur so you can move the energy around to where you
need it. Due to Venusaur's high HP, he will usually be you're main attacker.
Erika's Vileplume is what you should use against cards like Mime and E's
Dratini. They can't hit him without fear of pain themselves, and you all know
what happens to a Mime when it gets confused.
This is a highly focused deck, and may take a bit of luck. I have also
realized its realistic weaknesses, so don't bash about that part. Words of
Wisdom and similar players with decks like this appreciated.
