I have an effective tip that involves a card that might not be played a lot, Ninetales. It combos really well with Typhlosion (the one with fire recharge), because the only downside of fire blast is discarding a fire energy to attack. Just use fire recharge to get your fire energy back on to Ninetales. Do this repeatedly and you should keep on doing a very powerful 80 damage a turn. To maximize your chances of retrieving the fire energy, have multiple Typhlosions in play. It should be possible to build a killer deck around this strategy just make sure you put some computer searches in your deck so that you can have Typhlosion in play by the time you can use fire blast.
