SSJ4 Goku here reporting on two cards from the new Gym Hero's set. Now I know
your probily going to laugh, but Erika's Bellsprout and Weepinbell in this
set are SWEET! Let me explain, but first here what the cards say:
Erika's Bellsprout 40 HP
G: Poison Vine 10
Flip a coin. If heads, the defending Pokemon is now Poisoned.
GG: Vine Whip 30
Weakness: F
Resistance:
Retreat cost: C
Erika's Weepinbell 70 HP
GC: Sleep Poison
The defending Pokemon is now Asleep and Poisoned.
GGC: Vine Whip 40
Weakness: F
Resistance:
Retreat Cost: CC
So there you go! Now on to the reason I love them so much. I actually beat a
Hitmonchan with Bellsprout. What happened was, the game started, I won the
flip I started with Bellsprout as my active, my opponent started with
Hitmonchan. I place a grass energy on Bellsprout and use Poison Vine for 10,
I get heads Hitmonchan is poisoned so that's 10 more at the end of my turn.
So that's 20 damage so far. Now its his turn, he places a fighting energy on
Hitmonchan and Jabs for 20, his turn ends so 10 more damage. I place another
grass energy and use Vine Whip for 30 damage. So now Hitmonchan has 60 damage
on him, but what's this? End of my turn, 10 more damage and Hitmonchan falls
to Bellsprout! So I love Bellsprout because with one successful coin flip it
can do 70 damage at the end of its second turn for only 2 grass energy's! Now
on to Weepinbell. Another that can do lots of damage quickly. By the time I
evolve Bellsprout into Weepinbell, it already has two grass energy's. So I
simply use Sleep Poison to put him asleep and to poison my opponents Pokemon,
and pummels it with Vine Whip while it sleeps and takes 10 damage at the end
of turns! So there you have it! Two great cards that will be popping up in
grass decks everywhere. Now for there strengths and weaknesses.
Bellsprout's strengths:
30 damage for two grass is sweet.
And can do 70 damage at the end of its second turn, if you successfully get
heads.
Bellsprout's weaknesses:
Low HP.
Fossil Magmar...
Weepinbell's strengths:
Great status effecting Pokemon.
Can cause lots of damage because of his ability to poison and put to sleep a
Pokemon with on attack, whili Vine Whiping while it sleeps.
Weepinbells weaknesses:
Low HP.
Fossil Magmar...again...but hey, I love Fossil Magmar deck!
So there you go, my thoughts and opinions on these two great cards.
