Pegasus.

This is a deck that I've been tooling and retooling
for a very long time and one that I'm proud to say
really got going when Gym Heroes finally came out.
It's capable of unreturnable attacks, and it's
capable of stalling even the greatest of deck designs.

The foundation of Pegasus is Agility.

The specs:

3 Rapidash
3 Fearow
4 Ponyta (Base)
4 Spearow
3 Blaine's Ponyta
2 Rhyhorn

20 Fire Energy

3 Pokemon Center
3 Energy Retrieval
3 Computer Search
3 Bill
3 No Removal Gym
3 Energy Flow
2 Item Finder
1 Nightly Garbage Run

The main idea behind this deck is the agility
attack, which does 20-30 damage (depending on the
pokemon)and has a good chance that you can't be
attacked next round, even if you knock out your
opponent's active pokemon unless the opponent uses a
gust of wind.  Also, an excellent feature of the three
pokemon in the deck who use agility (Rapidash, Fearow
and Blaine's Ponyta) is the retreat cost of zero,
making it quite easy to get the heck out of there when
needed.

The secondary idea behind this deck is the no removal
gym card, which is essential.  Try to get it into play
as soon as possible because most people will not want
to discard two cards to play an Energy Removal on you.
And I've included three in the deck because nothing
can put a crimp in your carefully laid Stadium card
plan quite like someone putting down a Stadium of
their own.  Should you run out, you can use Item
Finder to get it again (just discard some fire energy,
then use energy retrieval to get it back).

Now, in previous incarnations, this deck had a huge
tendency to have its pokemon knocked out before even
getting their evolved forms into play.  This is where
the combination of Rhyhorn, Energy Flow, Pokemon
Center and Computer Search comes into play.  Use
computer search to find a Rhyhorn (if you have one on
your bench, you can save the computer search for
later), bench Rhyhorn, retreat your active Pokemon
(for free, unless it's Base Ponyta or there's a
retreat changing Pokemon Power like Dark Muk's), put
out Rhyhorn, attach a fire energy to use Leer.
Hopefully you'll be successful (but even if you're
not, Rhyhorn can usually
withstand a few attacks, even from grass pokemon).  If
you've still got Rhyhorn as your active Pokemon, play
Energy Flow and return all cards from all the pokemon
that have damage counters on them to your hand.  Then
play Pokemon Center.  All your pokemon are now back at
full HP and you didn't have to discard any energy
(save
those energy retrievals!) If you have neither Energy
Flow or Pokemon Center in your hand, continue to Leer
the opponent until you can get them.  There are only
two Rhyhorns in the deck, but if both get knocked out,
you can always play Nightly Garbage Run.

One of the worst things that could happen to this
deck would be both Rhyhorns ending up as prizes.
Luckily, Blaine's Ponyta's agility can be a wonderful
thing when you're trying to get some Rapidashes and
Fearows on your bench.

All in all, I have had lots of great matches with this
deck (in various incarnations) and I'd like to know
how it works for you in its present form.  Email me
