I think everyone who sent in a false combo in the last few weeks should apoligize for completely wasting my time on that article I wrote a while back. I spend my pathetic excuse of a life trying to come up with stuff that actually works. It may be just me, but I can't stand it when people are wrong. It kinda makes me feel stupid, too. That is, if I don't correct it. So, here is my second installment of, "Read the Text BEFORE You Write!"

 

1. Mr. Mime and Metal Energy/Defender makes him invincible-How long can a disproven theory go around!? I'm so sick of seeing this I just want to puke! No, no, no, it doesn't work! Damage comes before powers, and anything that reduces/increases damage, too. So a Mr. Mime with a Defender is attack by a Scyther. The damage is figured like this: 30(base damage)-20(Defender)=10(power does not work). Please, stop the madness(OK, calm down...)!

 

2. Iggly stops Iggly-Here's an interesting one. Iggly can stop Iggly. Nope. Read to about the middle of the power, "...and that Power stops working until the end of this turn..." So that's done for. Only powers used on your turn can be stopped by Iggly.

 

3. Swift isn't affected by the Baby Rule-OK, here's another bad one. The infamous Baby Rule states, "Whenever your opponent attacks and this Pokemon is your Active, your opponent flips a coin. If tails, your opponent's turn end without an attack." Ending with no attack is different from doing damage. If you don't even attack, how do you get any extra effects? Case closed.

 

4. Ecogym and Charizard's Fire Spin will limit energy loss-*sigh* Let's cut right to the chase. Eco says, "Whenever an attack, Trainer card, or Pokmeon Power discards another player's non-colorless energy, return that energy to the owner's hand. That means since you are self-inducing the discard of your own energy, it doesn't come back.
