Top Ten underrated cards, and their strategies.

10. Gambler - I actually prefer this to Professor Oak for 2 reasons. 1: You
don't have to discard your hand, and 2: It doesn't deck you out as fast.
Anyone agree?

9. Base Porygon - Recently there was a good article about Porygon. I always
thought that Base Porygon was good because of Conversion 2. Think about it.
Porygon takes 30 less damage from everything in a mono-colour deck! Some
whole decks could not be able to hurt a Conversion 2'd Porygon!!! And
Conversion 1 is decent.

8. Brock's Golbat - Damage EVERY benched Pokemon of your opponent! OK HP (2
abbreviations in a row! What does OK stand for?) and Fighting resistance,
Low retreat, and good first attack. An all colourless attacks evolution line
(if you use the 30HP Zubat)!

7. Brock's Lickitung - An alternative Haymaker Pokemon, with reasonable, not
great, attacks and HP. Pity about the high retreat cost that is always a
Lickitungish problem...

6. Trash Exchange - This can keep your deck going for ever, while your
opponent decks out! Also useful for getting great cards back. It's highly
underrated - try it for yourself.

5. Blaine's Magmar - If you create a deck around it, you can have a good
competitive deck. But 60 HP is maybe not enough to survive three turns...

4. Poliwrath - Whirlpool is just great. Watch your opponent's energy go down
the drain, while you do good damage to them. Water Gun is bad value though.

3. Erika's Dratini - It was me who originally suggested on this site to
combine this with Aerodactyl. See the old Single cards section for more
details. The Pokemon Power is great!!!

2. Misty's Poliwag - The first attack is a 75% chance that the opponent will
not be able to attack next turn! Bad other than that.

1. Venomoth - A Venomoth and Scyther deck (One of my Gameboy TCG Decks) is
almost unbeatable. Free retreat, 70 HP, Good attack, Fighting resistance,
Pokemon Power. The most underrated card ever. (when opponent is about to die
from poison and it's your turn, retreat Venomoth and use Scyther's Swords
Dance!)
