Hi! This is my first TCG tip, and I’d first like to introduce my
radioactive buddy here, Fluffy the Chansey!
Fluffy (F): Wha? Can I please listen to the radio in peace!
Scy (S): Oh, shut that thing up.
*Scy takes a jackhammer and pulverizes the radio*
F: Why did you have to do that!
S: Because we have to give our viewers a tip.
F: Can I be in it?
S: No, we’re talking modified. No Chansey’s allowed.
F: What if I evolve into Blissey?
S: Just never mind and help me with the tip.
F: Okay!
S: Now, the tip is about two awesome cards that, when teamed up, are great
in modified!
F: Chansey and Blissey?
S: I TOLD YOU CHANSEYS ARE NOT ALLOWED!
F: Gosh. You don’t have to be that harsh.
S: Anyway, as I was saying. I’m talking about the Jumpluff twins (NR
and NG) and Dark Muk. Make sure to add in a Rocket’s Hideout Gym
thought! Dark Muk with 60 HP cannot, I repteat, CANNOT be
deadly.
F: Well I can, I have 120 HP!
S: Look Fluffy, you are not allowed in modified. Get that in your
head.
F: Okay…gosh.
S: As I was saying, Dark Muk plus Rocket’s Hideout Gym is great, but with
Jumpluff the combo is even greater! You start off with a Hoppip, and by
turn 3 you should have at least 2 Jumpluffs out, with a Dark Muk powering up
too. Lay down a Rocket’s Hideout Gym now. Jumpluff doesn’t get a
boost, but that’s okay. Now, keep on Solarbeaming and Leech Seeding and
Sleed Powdering until a Steelix or some resistant pokemon pops up. When
that happens, exploit Jumpy’s free retreat and just jump over to the
bench! Dark Muk comes out, and poisons Steelix. Now, Steelix has 6
retreat (Dark Muk’s power) and is poisoned. Also, you can make sure that
the bench doesn’t get ready by Double Gusting a weak attacker ready to evolve,
and kill. Steelix will not be bothering you anymore. Poison will
ware it down whenever it becomes active again and becomes poisoned by Sludge
Punch. Then, when Steelix is gone, just use Ballon Berry or just retreat
back to Jumpy, and start the murder rage again. And remember, with a few
Jumpluffs out, abuse free retreat with Double Gust. Here is a sample
decklist of the deck’s pokemon:
Pokemon: 23
4 Hoppip (3 NG and 1 NR)
4 Skiploom (2 NG, 2 NR)
4 Jumpluff (2 NG, 2 NR)
3 Grimer (Rocket)
3 Dark Muk
2 Yanma
3 Cleffa
4 Skiplooms is necessary for success. Same with 4 Jumpuffs.
With only 70 HP, Jumpluff is one hit Feral bait, but by being able to have 4
out, in two Solarbeams Feral is down and out!
F: Now can we review my deck?
S: NO!
F: Why not?
S: BECAUSE I’M REVIEWING MODIFIED DECKS RIGHT NOW AND YOU ARE NOT A
MODIFIED DECK! #^$%
F: Oh. Hehe, I’ll be leaving now.
S: Oh no you won’t.
*Scy turn on Chansey and takes out a pokeball. Out pops a
Poliwrath.
S: Poli, beat up Chansey for me. Oh, and for all you readers,
