First, I will
announce my new name on Pojo. I will henceforth be known as... (Drumroll Please)
Shadow Assassin- The Dark and Mysterious Destroyer of Archetypes and Bashers.
Secondly, I
am horrified and the unprovoked bashes made by Tim Svenson. I could see maybe a
little talking to if someone was claiming jungle Goldeen rules, but Muk! Muk is
good. At the pokémon leauge in 2000, I always lost to a Wiggly/ Chansey/
Scyther/ Muk deck. It killed me every time. So I am starting a protest! Tim
knows he can get away with it now. I'll probabally be bashed myself for this
article. But everyone, if you join the protest, maybe we can stop him. In every
article you type, put a protest of bashing and Tim untill Pojo refuses to print
anything with author bashes in it, like they said they would.
Now, Shadow
Assassin's First Card of the Day
The card I will do
today is Neo Revelation Houndoom. My favorite pokémon aslo makes a powerful
card.
First, quotes:
Blaine -Makes me
wish I also trained Darkness.
Sabrina - But
Blaine, Houndoom's Fire as well.
Blaine - Oh, right,
it is. I knew that!
Unnamed Basher -
Anyone who plays Houndoom is STUPID, and shouldn't be... Hey... good Houndoom...
please let me live! Moooooommmy! (A blood-curdling scream blares across the room
as Houndoom brutaly dismembers the basher)
Claire - Its the
first pokémon with a built in darkness recoverer.
Koga - Hey, one of
the Houndours poisons!
Ok, now we look at
the card. 70 hp isn't bad, but isn't great either for a stage 1. No weakness and
Pyschic resistance are standard dark issue. Be careful of Chansey and Rocket's
Zapdos. His Dark Flame attack is powerful, because it is the only attack besides
Mewtwo's which allows you to recover dark energies, and Mewtwo isn't dark type.
His second attack has good synergy with the first- Every darkness energy
attached can deal 10 more damage. With 4 Dark Energy, you deal on average 90.
That is pretty hard to do though. Using Rainbow Energy and Porygon2, you can
have more than 4 Dark attached. That means more damage.
Now, a look at the
Houndours
The Fire one is
usbetter. Its ually first attack poisons, and the second builds up for some Dark
Flaming with Houndoom. The Dark type has 10 less HP, but you can play Dark on it
without penalty. Usually 3 Fire Houndour and 1 Dark Houndour is a good
proportion to 3 Houndoom.
In Standard I give
Houndoom a 6.5/10. Chansey and Wiggly as well as others can more easily take him
out.
In Modified, he gets
a 7.5/10. He has all the cards he needs, and none of those Base set annoyances
like Super Energy Removal.
