Just when you thought it was safe to put a bunch of single-attack pokemon
in your decks...
Wooper happened!!!!!
Yes, Wooper is what I'm talking about. Genesis.
People say it's unreliable. Sure, if you use Slam. But that's not what its made
for! Amnesia is an extremely powerful move. Up 'til Neo Genesis, it was at the
very least a two-turn attack. But not anymore. Wooper can stop so many
things:
R's Zapdos
Scyther (Neo)
Scyther (Jungle) (Amnesia Slash)
Feraligatr
Blastoise; it stops the attack, but not
neccesarily Blastoise itself.
Larvitar
Almost every other pokemon.
People, Wooper is strong (say whatever you want,
Tim; I know you'll be reading all my articles, trying to find something to pick
apart). Slam, is not strong. Amnesia is. I have an assignment for you all; make
a list of your most favorite pokemon to play (you know, the really tough ones).
Send it to me. I will read it, see what Wooper stops, and post a master list of
all the lists you've sent me, marking what Wooper stops and doesn't stop. This
should be interesting.
