Here is a little article I made.
It is about the best decks out at this time.

Winning Decks

There are many good decks.  There are haymakers, potpourris, rain dances,
sponges, and stall/damage swap decks.  These are among the winning decks.
The haymaker deck has changed over the months.  It first started as a very
fast beat down deck, based on the two best basics in the base set:
Hitmonchan and Electabuzz.  This is my example of a haymaker.

The haymaker deck has dominated tournaments all over the country.
Some even say that it's being over used.  Even more popular at the
tournaments I go to are rain dance.  Rain dances purpose is to get a
Blastoise out fast and power up strong pokemon.  The weakness of this deck
is wimpy, low HP basics.  I play Potpourri (we'll get to that later) and
have played many rain dance and usually get a first turn win.  That's why it
would be a good idea to use Chanseys.

With the release of "Fossil" and the promo Mew, raindance decks are getting
used less and less.  Mew's "Devolution Beam" just kills a breedered
Blastoise.  Muk and Aerodactyl ruin the Blastoise line, and not to mention
Mr. Mime.  Now we get to the deck I usually use: potpourri.  It has five
different types to cover weaknesses and some resistances.

This deck does extremely well and has won me several tournaments, but Scott
still says that it isn’t as good as the "Sponge."  The "Sponge" focuses on
Movie Promo Mewtwo.

This deck does great both offensively and defensively.  It has just about
everything "stallish" that the pokemon tcg has to offer.  Well, there you
have it, "Winning Decks."  Feel free to tweak these decks in any way you
want to.  Either to make them just straight better or make them better to
suit your environment.
