I first heard of Scott Gerhardts deck in Beckett the Magazine

I first heard of Scott Gerhardts deck in Beckett the Magazine. I thought it
was terrible at first. This was October of '99. 3 Months later I decided to
try it. With no ideas on new decks, I made the worst or best mistake of my
life. I made the Potpouri, (First Version) and tore a friend up with it. It
amazed me...I couldnt believe how fast and good it was. Maybe it was because
i had used Electabuzz for the first time (hated him, now I love him!) or it
was Oak, Comp.Sear., or Item Finder. I never used these because I hated
discarding. Well after a couple games with the Potpouri I decided to make a
new deck. At the league a kid was playing Scott's deck with changes and he
was the only one. As I played each kid, they were sucked into Potpouri, one
after one. When i tried to make my new deck, I got all Potpouri and a little
change. This wasnt funny. Once you play one of the BEST decks, you cant go
back without having aftershocks. Im slowly but surely making my way out of
Potpouri. I have a new deck named "Light Speed" that i will tweak until its
perfect. It has some of Scott's pokes, like i said its hard to get away from
that deck, but it has different strategy and dishes more damage faster. My
friends are now realizing that they cannot make a deck without having a Scott
Gerhardt touch to it. Scott? Is there any cure??!! E-mail me at

            P.S.S Scott, Im not dissing Potpouri. Its a major compliment. If
you play a deck this good...it gets very addictive.
