I really think that this guy ranting about energy removal should calm down.
This is the same case as the promo Mewtwo Debacle: P.Mewtwo is a strong
card, people lose to it, they make a huge fuss about it being 'broken'. This
guy had an 'invincible' deck (probably used Charizard), lost a couple times
to the ERs, and is causing a huge fuss about it being 'for rookies'. Pojo
and Pojoheads reading this, this guy is as bad as Nick Vital, the original
"I rant, oh yes I rant"-er. He loses a few times and causes a huge mess. I
mean, look at his famous "all squirtle-line deck" example. How many times do
you think you are even going to get even 1 or 2 Blastoise out? He loses on a
fluke and causes a fuss as big as the Haymaker scene. He oughta be placed in
the "don't let this happen to you:sore losers" section everyone was talking
about.

You have to accept that Energy and Energy Removal is one of the basic
pillars of Pokémon. Energy Removal is probably one of the most time-honored
themes there is, next to Evolution. The first people at Wizards to
understrand how to play probably made an Evolution dace and an ER deck.
Manipulating energy is one of the main reasons Pokémon TCG is fun. The
reason Charizard and Pokécenter aren't broken: they cost you energy. Why
Blastoise is one of the strongest cards in the game: You have as much energy
as you can hold. Why Blackout is the most common theme deck: (besides
everyone needs the 'chan for their Hay) it's energy removal. The reason
everyone loves Scyther: you can retreat such a strong card w/o essentially
Energy Removaling yourself. Energy Removal is one of the basic parts of
Pokémon and if your 'invincible' deck dies to a few ERs then I shudder to
think of what other decks you've faced and not lost to.

Well there's my 2c on this subject. Thanks for listening and I didn't really
mean to insult or slam anyone in particular with this.
