Pojo,

For months now, I have been reading your site and one thing keeps
disturbing me GREATLY!  That is this useless point system that people
are using (primarily in the card comparison section).  This was inspired
when reading what "The Whether Man" had to say about Aerodactyl 13's
comparison of Alakazam vs Venomoth.  I want to address this redundant
and useless procedure...

The first reason why the point system fails is because the playing field
is forever changing.  What I mean by that is that if the game was chess
and you were comparing a bishop to a knight... fine!  You ALWAYS play
chess with 8 pawns, 2 Rooks, 2 bishops, 2 knights, 1 Queen and 1 King.
What makes the pokemon game very fun to play and keep playing is that
you may create one of an infinite amount of decks using 60 cards out of
300+.  Therefore; a one on one comparison is less meaningful when you
have 3 Alakazam's against 1 venomoth... or vise-vera.

Last and MOST IMPORTANT is the trainer cards!  Let me spell that again
so everyone can read!

T-R-A-I-N-E-R    C-A-R-D-S!!!!!!!!!

The point system works off the fact that "if all things were equal" and
trainer cards simply make everything unequal.  Let's have an example:

Alakazam has a retreat cost of three while Dragonite's is only one.  SO
WHAT!  Have you guys heard of the switch trainer card?  Having 2+
switches in your deck really negates the retreat cost aspect.

Basic Raichu is a stage 1 with 80 HP while Gengar is a stage 2 with 80
HP.  Chances are that the point system would say Raichu wins here.  Well
have you heard of Pokemon Breeder?

This pokemon does 40 while the other does 30.  Try Plus power!

The list goes on!  The fact is that the trainer cards were created to
strengthen certain pokemon's weakness's.

THAT is why this stupid point system is impractical and useless!
