Quantity and Quality
A Must Read For Any Deck Builder

Quantity
- When I speak of Quantity I mean Variety of Cards. Having “Quantity” in a
deck makes the deck more versatile and thus able to perform well more often
and with a wider range of decks.

Quality
- When I speak of Quality I mean the Amount of Cards. Having “Quality” in a
deck makes it more efficient. Basically it gives your deck stamina, which
makes your deck solid and long lasting.

Here are some bad examples of the two.

Example of Bad Quantity (In Trainers)
- 4 Energy Removal
- 4 Scoop Up
- 4 Gust of Wind
- 4 Plus Power





Example of Bad Quality (In Trainers.)
- 1 Bill
- 1 Oak
- 2 Super Energy Removal
- 1 Energy Removal
- 2 Scoop Up
- 1 Gust of Wind
- 2 Plus Power
- 1 Computer Search
- 1 potion


Here are some fairly good example of the two

Good Quality

Good Quantity

As a Master trainer you want both. You should take the best of both worlds.
Have a variety of trainers but make room so that you can have a sufficient
amount of them, so you can likely come across them in play more often and so
you can use them more then once.

This, my friends, is te hardest part in builing a deck. Making sacrifices.
Playtesting is a good way to see how much you should sacrifice in a certain
deck. Or if you should sacrifice at all. Certain Decks that have mostly or
all basics can get away with less pokemon and energy. Evolution decks on the
other hand can't do this as much so sacrifices should be very minimal.
