I just made a new deck recently and it based on defense. This deck may look
like a Haymaker, but it really isn’t. The strategy of this deck is to
prevent your opponent from getting off a lot attacks ranging from 30-above
HP. I want to contain my opponent to as few Thunderpunches, Special Punches,
slashes, and Double Edges as possible. This can be accomplished with Energy
Removal, Super Energy Removals, Defenders, and the Item Finders to reuse the
trainers. The Scoop Ups prevent your opponent from getting a prize. I also
try to use this deck to its fullest by playing defensively, like retreating
when my active pokemon is in danger of being KO’ed and getting fresh pokemon
in and out , and just trying my best to prevent my opponent from getting a
prize. I know 11 pokemon is below average, but I hope my defense is strong,
and my offense can just get me through the game. Ok..I think this deck is
solid, but I may have forgotten something-so can you pojomaniacs give it
some little fixes and twixes?
Here’s what my deck consists of:
4 Chanseys
3 Scythers(0 retreat cost is good)
4 Magmars(Fossil)
Trainers:
4 Bills
4 Defenders
4 Super Energy Removals
1 Gambler(prevents decking)
2 Scoop Ups
4 Energy Removals
1 Item Finder
4 Professor Oaks
3 Computer Searches
Energies:
18 Fire Energies
4 Double Colorless Energies
