Hey, Everyone-
No, this isn't a regular "Rant" article. Today, I chose to rant about
the
rants. <is that possible?>
Now, after looking over Nick's original, I'd have to say that it had some
good points. A FEW good points. But now, it seems that people just rant
about anything and for no reason. Here I go...!
Okay, I hate little don't-know-how-to-play kids as much as anyone. And I
hate the little I-only-trade-doubles kids too. But, it's not their fault
<all the time, anyway>.
Take into account Billy Bob's second rant article. he complains about a
little kid that says charizard is good <not that he can't be in some
situations> and goes onto say how he can only trade doubles. Okay so far.
But then, he says how he "loves to rip off little kids." Hmmm, perhaps
you
ripping off little kids is part of why they only trade doubles, Billy Bob.
Second, the articles on how people can't stand kids that don't know how to
play. Fully and totally understandable. 'Cept for one thing:
IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, LEAVE!!
I swear! some people would rather stay and play a cheater and then rant
about it than leave and find a nice, calm tournament. I don't seem to
remember any rule that says you can't leave in the middle of any torunamnet.
If push comes to shove, call the judge/store owner and explain the
situation. That usually clears things up.
If I sounded mean anywhere in this article, I appologize. I didn't mean to
sound malicious in any way. I was just tired of reading rant articles in
hopes of finding some sort of situation I could relate to, but instead
finding an article about things that could easily be corrceted if the author
had enough common sense to say to him/herself "You know what? I don't need
to play this cheater/trade with this kid. I can pick up my things and
leave."
Thanks for listening! C'ya!!
