Cards for Drawing

Hiya!

This is Master1080.  I'm here this time with reviews
on drawing cards.  I'll start of with the Base set and
end with Neo Genesis.

Rating Scale - 5 (Very Good) to 1 (Don't use it)

Bill - Draw two cards.
This is an excellent card since it gets you two free
cards.  The extra two cards might be a Pluspower or a
needed Scoop Up.  Good card when used in combos.
(Rating: 5)

Professor Oak - Discard your hand then draw seven
cards.
Wow!  You get a fresh hand!  You can get your needed
cards insanely fast.  The only drawback is the discard
of your hand but that should be no problem at all.  I
usually have some card like Computer Search, Gust of
Wind, Switch, etc. in my hand.  I just play the cards
in my hand and use Professor Oak.  That makes sure all
cards in your hand don't go to waste.  But watch out
what you play, it might benefit your opponent.
For example, you don't want your Gust of Wind to go to
waste so you play it on the active Pokemon when it has
10 HP (assume that you can't knock it out with your
current hand or Pokemon).  Then, after you use Prof.
Oak, you draw enough Pluspower to knock out the
Pokemon you just played Gust of Wind on.  (Rating: 5)

Maintenance - Shuffle two cards from your hand into
your deck then draw a card.
The only good thing I see about this card is to get
rid of some cards in your hand before using Professor
Oak.  Maintenance is unreliable and you might draw
back the card you tried to shuffle back into your
deck.  (Rating: 1.5)

Gambler - Shuffle your hand back into your deck.  Flip
a coin.  If heads, draw 8 cards.  If tails, draw 1
card.
This card is very unreliable but very useful in
certain situations.  If you have a hand of more than 9
cards (counting Gambler), then you can shuffle your
hand back without having to worry too much about
decking out. Good for stall decks if you draw one card
and good for fast decks if you draw eight cards.  This
is a very unreliable since the outcome is so
unpredictable.  (Rating: 3)

Challenge! - Ask your opponent if he/she accepts your
challenge.  If your opponent declines (or if both
benches are full), then draw two cards.  If your
opponent accepts, each of you searches your deck for
any number of basic Pokemon and puts them face down
onto their benches.  (A player can't do this if
his/her bench is full).  When you both have finished,
shuffle your decks and turn those cards face up.
This card lets both people fill up their bench with
Basic Pokemon.  If they decline your challenge, then
it works like a Bill.  Good for Wigglytuff or Dark
Hypno decks and some Haymakers.  This is best used
when you have little Pokemon on your bench or when you
need extra cards.  The problem with this card is that
it can work against you.  (Rating: 3.5)

Computer Error - You may draw up to 5 cards.  Then
your opponent may draw up to 5 cards.  Your turn is
now over.  (You don't get to attack).
This card has very limited uses.  Ending your turn
without attacking is bad and what's even worse, your
opponent may get up to 5 cards to use on his/her next
turn against you!  Even if you have to use it in
desperate times, it still hurts you since you don't
get to do anything with the cards you drew until your
next turn!  (Rating: 1)

Erika - Draw may draw up to three cards, then your
opponent may draw up to three cards.
This card doesn't do a lot for you by itself but combo
it with other cards and you have an excellent card
drawer.  An excellent combo is to use Erika then play
Impostor Oak's Revenge to make them shuffle those
three (or however many they drew) cards in their hand
(along with their hand) back into their deck.  After
that, they have 4 cards in their hand.  You should be
able to use Erika to your advantage a lot but just be
aware that it can help you opponent sometimes too.
(Rating: 4)

Blaine's Quiz # 1 - Put a Basic Pokemon or Evolution
card from your hand face down in front of you and tell
your opponent its name. Your opponent guesses the
length of that Pokemon. Flip the card over. If your
opponent guessed right, he or she draws 2 cards. If
your opponent guessed wrong, you draw 2 cards. Either
way, return the card to your hand.
It's a good early game drawer but not very good late
in the game.  Remember that your opponent can look
through your discard pile or his/her own to know for
that information.  (Rating: 3)

Blaine's Last Resort - You can't play this card if you
have any cards in your hand other than Blaine's Last
Resort. Show your hand to your opponent, then draw 5
cards.
Professor Oak is better.  Just useless unless your
have almost no hand.  There's not a lot you can do
with it with a hand.  (Rating: 1.5)

Secret Mission - Look at your opponent's hand. Then,
you may discard as many other cards as you want from
your hand and draw that many cards.
Wow!  This is a way to sneak a peek at your opponent's
hand and draw what you need.  It's good even if you
don't use it to draw.  Just get rid of your useless
cards and draw some cards.  Use it just before a
Rocket's Sneak Attack or Impostor Oak.  (Rating: 4.5)

Blaine's Gamble - Discard any number of other cards
from your hand, then flip a coin. If heads, draw twice
that many cards.
It's good if you are a good coin flipper.  Otherwise,
there goes most of your hand.  (Rating: 2.5)

Misty's Duel - You and your opponent play a game of
Rock-Paper-Scissors. The winner shuffles his or her
hand into his or her deck and draws a new hand of 5
cards. (If you don't know how to play
Rock-Paper-Scissors, flip a coin to decide who's the
winner).
This card is good in certain situations.  If you have
a useless hand and you want to mess up your opponent's
hand, then almost nothing can go wrong here.  If you
win, then you get a new hand of 5 cards.  If they win,
then he/she shuffles all those hard-earned cards they
drew back into their deck.  (Rating: 3.5)

Sabrina's Gaze - Each player shuffles his or her hand
into his or her deck and draws a new hand of the same
number of cards.
Get a new hand without having to discard anything.
This card is good for messing up your opponent's hand.
In a way it's kind of like the card Lass.  (Rating:
4)

Blaine's Quiz # 2 - Put a card from your hand face
down in front of you. Your opponent guesses whether it
is an Energy card, a Trainer card, or a Pokemon (Basic
or Evolution) card. Flip the card over. If your
opponent guessed right, he or she draws 2 cards. If
your opponent guessed wrong, you draw 2 cards. Either
way, return the card to your hand.
It is a good card.  There is a 2/3 chance you can draw
2 cards and best part of this card is that you get to
use it over and over.  This is like a reusable Bill
except sometimes it works for your opponent.  (Rating:
4)

Blaine's Quiz # 3 - Put a Basic Pokemon or Evolution
card from your hand face down in front of you and tell
your opponent the name of an attack of that card. Your
opponent guesses the name of that card. Flip the card
over. If your opponent guessed right, he or she draws
3 cards. If your opponent guessed wrong, you draw 3
cards. Either way, return the card to your hand.
It is good if you are running a lot of cards with the
same attack as other Pokemon in your deck.  Two words
come to my mind when I see this card: "Quick Attack."
Chances vary depending on the Pokemon you run but the
results you get are just fabulous!  (Rating: 4.5)

Professor Elm - Shuffle your hand into your deck then
draw 7 cards.  You can't play any trainers until your
next turn.
Wow!  Draw seven cards without discarding!  Good in
decks with little trainers.  This card rivals the
legendary Professor Oak card.  However, the inability
to play trainers after you use this card has scared
some people away from this card.  This card is funny
if you use Chaos Gym First.  If it you flip tails then
your opponent will have to shuffle their hand back and
draw 7 cards and will not be able to play Trainers
(but I'm not too sure about this since it he/she
play's this card on your turn).  Overall, I think this
is a good card drawer.  (Rating: 4.5)

Bill's Teleporter - Flip a coin.  If heads, draw 4
cards.
Drawing 4 cards is excellent but flipping a tails will
make this card just trash in your deck.  The result is
good, if not very good.  Play it just as you play
regular Bill.  (Rating: 4)

Mary - Draw 2 cards. Then, shuffle 2 cards from your
hand into your deck.
Just like a Bill.  Late in the game, when you have a
big hand, you can shuffle two useless cards back into
your deck.  It is sometimes a good opener card.  You
can shuffle anything you don't like in your hand back
into the deck.  (Rating: 4.5)

Don't forget that there are Pokemon that can draw
cards too!  Cleffa, Dark Golduck, Dark Kadabra, etc.
are a few examples.
