It's me, Chris again. See 1-26-01, 1-9-01, & 12-12-00. This is a
continuation
of the series of Pokemon Powers. At the end of the article, I will begin a
continuing series of "Tricky Challenges", similar to Satoshi's. Here
they are:
Brock's Ninetales- Shapeshift- A great way to have an advantage over your
opponent. Turn into other evolutions!
Giovanni's Machamp- Fortitude- Save yourself! If you get KO'd, flip a coin.
If heads, safe! Similar to Focus Band...
Giovanni's Persian- Call the Boss- Very good way to find the trainer
"Giovanni". Best in a Giovanni deck.
Misty's Gyarados- Rebellion- A way to have a hit-and-run battle. But, it only
works 1/4 of the time.
Sabrina's Alakazam- Psylink- You can use ANY attack from Psychics on your
bench! Hint: Psylink a "Meditate" attack
for great damage...
Blaine's Ninetales- Healing Fire- Whenever you attach a Fire energy to it,
remove 1 damage counter. Combine with Super Potion. Add an energy to remove
10, then discard that energy to use Super Potion and remove 40 more!
Koga's Muk- Energy Drain- Best used in an Energy Denial deck. Good way around
a No Removal Gym that your opponent has out. If no Gym, then ER & SER
help
to destroy the flow of Energy.
Brock's Primeape- Scram- Also follows the hit-and-run theme. But, only when
you have exactly 10 HP.
Erika's Bellsprout-Soak Up- Similar to Charmander's Gather Fire, but doubled.
Do this, then evolve to Erika's Victreebel.
Erika's Ivysaur- Relaxing Scent- Helps in a stall deck. Makes damage split in
half rounded up. Use PlusPowers to help add extra damage.
Koga's Kakuna- Emerge- If heads, find Koga's Beedrill and evolve. Doesn't
this remind you of "Rapid Evolution"?
Lt. Surge's Electrode- Shock Blast- Nice way to add 20 damage. Might KO your
opponent, or you...
Well that's it for the Pokemon Powers of Challenge. Now for the newest
feature of my articles... THE TRICKY CHALLENGES! All you need to do is read
my Challenge, create a deck following my specific guidelines, and then send
your deck to Baboonskin@aol.com. The
best deck I recieve will be posted on my
next article. Here it is:
TRICKY CHALLENGE #1: Create a deck consisting of Base Set Charizard,
Venusaur, and Blastoise. You may choose the energy and trainers. Also, add
extra Pokemon if you wish. USE ONLY American cards.
Well, if you choose to accept my challenge, PLEASE send them to me. Please
write in the subject line "Tricky Challenge #1". And finally, any
other
decks, questions, comments, etc. should be sent to Baboonskin@aol.com.
Have
fun with my newly created Challenge!
