Ah, young and old trainers alike! As you scuffle through the NEO Booster
boxes these days, you pray to the holy lord that you get an awesome,
kick-butt holo, such as Lugia, or Steelix. You rip open the booster that
you just spent your last $5.75 on, and as you rush your sweaty little
palms to the very end of the booster, you realize that you have recieved
a Donfan, instead of the much anticipated Lugia. You start to get
frustrated. You think that, since Donfan isn't that popular, and it
isn't a Holo-foil, that it's a bad card. WRRRRONG!!!!! I am here to tell
you that lil' old Donfan here is, actually one of the best Fighters yet!
OK. Now, first, let's look at that 70HP on it. 70HP on a Stage 1 is
pretty good! Now, as we move on past the ultra-cool picture, we see
Flail. Now, Flail surely isn't the best attack ever, but it can dish out
a good maximum 60 damage! Then, we see the attack that makes it so far,
turn from OK to amazing! Rapid Spin. 3 for 50? WOW! And, what makes this
attack really stupendous is, it's a hit and run! You switch Donfan with
one of your own Benched Pokemon if you have any, and then your opponent
switches his/her Active with one of their Benched Pokemon, if they have
any! Yes, it does also have a 3 retreat cost, but with Rapid Spin, that
retreat cost is useless! And, what makes this card very scary to use
nowadays, is that it is weak to Grass. Grass has just made a comeback
with the new Meganium that has the Wild Growth Power, so if you put him
in your deck, you'll maybe need some kinda' defence. But Donfan is so
tough, he could probably take it! So if you open a booster, and are sure
you'll get Lugia, but you get Donfan, don't fret. Just look for some
Phanpys really fast!!!
