This isn't a strategy article, but I hope it will get
posted anyway, because something has to be done.

First of all--WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY THINKING?? Who
the hell is stupid enough to leave their 18-month-old
(or whatever) alone for 4 minutes or more?? (I believe
it takes >4 minutes for a human to die from lack of
oxygen.)

Perhaps Burger King should print a warning on the
Pokeballs: "WARNING: Putting this object over your
mouth and nose so you can't breathe may result in
death." While they're at it, they should no doubt also
think of a different way to sell drinks than those
dangerous drink cups they use. After all, if you hold
a soft drink cup over a baby's mouth and nose for long
enough, it'll suffocate just as surely as if you did
the same with a Pokeball.

And finally, (as my brother pointed out) don't they
have separate toys for little kids under the age of 3?

All my sympathies go out to the families. But this is
not Burger King's fault. And a massive recall of 25
million toys is excessive when a simple warning (or a
bit of common sense in the first place) would prevent
such a tragedy. You can find a way to kill yourself
with almost any fast-food toy if you're creative
enough about it...
