Pokemon Deck building has 5 Vowels (Wow, just like the english language,what a ca-wink-e-dink).

 

Archtype: You don't just make a deck in your mind with 4 different energy types. You focus on 1 or 2, depending on what theme your is. If it's Energy Denial, you have water and colorless. haymaker (god forbid), Fire and Electric (depending on your style you will have fighting).

 

Enhancing: If you play tested your deck and it doesn't work all that well, enhance it in your vision. If you think your family is ratio is screwed up, fix it IMMEDIATLEY. I actually have my friends play test my decks. That way I don't get a byasiast opionon.

 

Inginuity: Think of a nifty startegy. Use clarvyoiance and Imposter Professor Oak. Venusaur, scoop up, and pkmn center. JUST SOMETHING!  In 8th grade, I started my first damage swap deck. Nobody else I knew had it so I tried it with 1 Alakazam, 1 Chansey, and 1 Nidoking. And guess what. IT WORKED. Try something new always!!!!!

 

Originality: Don't copy somebody elses deck, think up your own. I've seen so many Haymakers (I even made my own-I got tired of playing it)-quite frankly it's boring. Think up your own strategy, don't use someone elses. I've come up with my decks originally except the Rain Dance and Haymaker, and even after I copyed the Haymaker, I made my own changes. To tell ya the truth, I started making my first deck with the idea of damag swap! I was possibly the first one to come up with that deck, and it's still my favorite.

Uniqueness: This goes along with orginality. Change the deck so it has some uniquness. Instead of having a few more trainers, I threw in Aerodactyl's to give it that "Gavin uniqueness".
