SATOSHI: Hey, I totally agree with Bill M.'s article about the inability to
control the DCI tournaments. I just got back from one, so here I go
again...!
*rant on*
AAAARRRRGGGG!! I CANNOT believe the people that come to those DCI
tournaments. More over, I cannot believe who WotC gets for judges! 15 and 16
year olds that only stamp books and give the way-too-easy coaching tests!
Hmmm...perhaps I should take it one step at a time.
1-The Judges
Grrrr...I think anyone could do a better job than those hack judges. A week
ago, there weren't many people at the leauge, so the points were TRIPLED!
Even more annoying, when one of my friends won a boulder badge, the judge
decided to be "nice" and handed them out to everyone! Geee, and I
thought
that the badges were supposed to be a challenge to get...silly me....>=(
2- The Coach Test
*sigh* It seems that ANYONE can be a coach these days. I took the test, and
couldn't believe the "questions!" You can pass by just reading the
rulebook!
You don't even have to understand the game! One kid passed it, and he was
trying to put six basics on his bench and was putting extra charmanders
under his charmeleons just because "he wanted to." The judges of
tomarrow,
folks.
3-The Kids
Now, everyone says the little kids don't know how to play. That may be the
case somethimes, but not always. Before we left, I was watching a battle in
which it was kangaskahn vs. ditto. The ditto trainer had no bench or hand,
no problem there, but he was using fetch without any energy cards! When I
inquired about this, he tried to tell me that ditto doesn't need any energy.
I corrected him, and he gave me what was supposed to be the "evil
eye." I
went off for about a turn or so, and when I came back to watch more, he had
a full bench and a dragonite among them! What I would like to know is how he
got five basics out and evolved one WITH NO HAND, IN ONE TURN! Something
just ain't right....
*rant off*
SATOSHI: Well, I guess I'm done. C'yall later!
