Well, I've been seeing this new category in the
Strategies section for some time...but it took a while
for me to get mad enough to actually write
something...

First of all, the issue of little kids who won't
trade...I hate this too. Once I saw a kid at Pokemon
League who had a Blaine's Growlithe. I was looking for
one of those, so quite naturally I asked if he would
trade it. His mom (not the kid, his MOM) informed me
that he was only trading doubles. I tried to talk her
out of it, but to no avail. A few minutes later, HE
wanted to trade for one of MY cards. My response?
Nothing that could be repeated in mixed company :-) I
felt kinda bad, because he might not have had any
control over it, but I wasn't going to trade with
someone who couldn't at least CONSIDER trading with
me. Now, if people give a reason why they don't want
to trade (maybe they need a card for a deck, or just
want to keep it for themselves) that's fine! You just
don't have to be a jerk about it...

Secondly, to the person who dissed Japanese cards,
specifically Blaine's Arcanine: You, my dear sir, are
an idiot. You are, of course, entitled to your views,
but that doesn't mean they have any validity. Blaine's
Arcanine is NOT the next Charizard, and if Ihear
anybody else making that argument, I'm gonna have
to start yelling. It may not be the best card in the
world...but who cares? I don't. And no, I wouldn't
trade a Blastoise for one either. But I'd trade a lot.
