Pojo Rules.
Thanks to Pojo for posting my last article and thanks to my readers for
responding (this means you Matt...) As always I have 2 topics; 1 'the
return of water' and 2 'the much-debated Base set III'
On 'the return of water'...
I believe Feraligatr 5/111 is the water equivalent of the famos/infamos
Charizard. here are the stats
Name: Feraligatr
Type: Stage 2 - Evolves from Croconaw
Card #: Card 5/111
Rarity: Rare - Holo
Color: Water
HP: 120 HP
Weakness: G
Resistance: none
Retreat: 3
Pokemon #: 160
Species: Big Jaw
Level: 69
Power: "Downpour"
As often as
you like during your turn (before your attack),
you may
discard a W Energy card from your hand. This power
can't be used
if Feraligatr is Asleep, Confused, or
Paralyzed.
Attack: [WWW] Riptide (10+)
Does 10
damage plus 10 damage times the number of W Energy
cards in your
discard pile. Then, shuffle all W Energy
cards from
your discard pile into your deck.
Like Charizard, he has the potiential for incredible damage; at a price.
I think that his price is met much easier if placed in any standard
raindance deck. If the people playing raindance bulk-up on the energy
department, they could have a wicked Feraligatr to end the game.
Without, of course, a cruel GoW killing (err...knocking out) your young
and tender Totdile. The bad points? his rather large retreat and his
weakness to the blooming Grass type.
On 'The much-debated Base set III'...
I quote "Last week i read a report from Spike stating that pokemon
should turn to a
magic the gathering format. If you haven't read his report i recomend
reading it. The reasons are as followed. I have been enjoying competeing and
(training) in the pokemon TCG for over a year. I recently started playing
magic. The more I found out about magic the more I liked the idea of
incorparating some of the same rules for PKMN. I agree with almost everyone
that the game is broken now. Myself playing a modified Haymaker, I saw that
15-3c only added to narrowing the deck types involved. Now it seems that
only Wiggly/haymakers are being played. I think that Base set 3 should be
released with only the broken or overplayed cards not reprinted and set our
game envirorment sort of like magic would be a solution. The reason I
believe that is because without wiggly, scyther, hitmonchan, electabuzz, magmar
and blastoise to name a few pokemon along with cpu search, ser, prof. oak,
pluspower for trainers this would widen the amount of different decks
played. Also with neo and neo 2 around the corner new killer combos can be
asablished. by Jose Esquerra"
I do not believe in bannings. Its like wizards saying 'Oops, we made
this card too good, better get rid of it!' or BMW (yeah, the car
company.) saying 'Oops, we made this car too fast, better get rid of
it!' I think that Base set three shouldnt include any "Broken"
cards,
wich isn't as much fun but spices it up a little.
Once again, Pojo rules!
