Erica

Trainer

Effect: Each player may draw up to 3 cards. (You draw your cards first.)

Picture: Erica.

And

Refined Criticism

Trainer

Effect: Attach this card to your Active Pokemon. At the end of your opponent's next turn, return this card to your hand. If the attached Pokemon is Knocked Out, this card is discarded instead. Whenever an attack from the attached Pokemon does damage to your opponent's Active Pokemon, you may reduce that damage by as much as you want. Picture: Erica, hands clasped together, and smiling.

The point of this deck is to get Dark Vileplume out ASAP. Instead of playing out what to do, I turned them into Q/A sorta things. So read on.

Here are some FAQ’s

"If this is a Dark Vileplume deck, why the heck does it have 19 trainers?"

Well my friend, the answer to that is that you need to get Dark Vileplume out ASAP. 6 of those trainers, the Breeders and the Criticism are the only non-drawing cards. All the others are there to gain cards.

"Why’s Refined Criticism in there for? It doesn’t go along with the deck"

Refined Criticism is there to protect your active, if you need it. If your only basic Pokemon is an Oddish then your going to want it protected.

"Why not use Computer Error instead of Erica? You get 5 instead!"

Well it ends your turn. Your going to want to use the cards now!

"Why use Erica? Your opponent draws also!"

Yeah so? You can use the cards this turn. Maybe draw that Breeder you needed and then your opponent is stuck to only playing energy and Pokemon.

"Your opponent can just Gust out the Vileplume and knock it out."

No trainers allowed.

"This deck doesn’t fend very well against Aerodactyl type decks! Haw Haw! I’ll just prevent you from using evolved Pokemon."

True, but that’s why I threw in 2 Gust of Winds. And since most of the trainers are drawing then it won't be that hard to get them. Also there are 4 solid Basic Pokemon.

"Ha ha! A Pinsir? Give me a break, take them out, please. Scyther is much better! Why use him?"

When will some of you learn, Pinsir can belong in some decks. Particularly this one. I’m not worrying about it lacking its HP. It isn’t considered a Haymakerish Pokemon because of its 60 hp and retreat cost. But Refined Criticism can protect it, and quite frankly if you have Dark Vileplume out, your friend can’t ER its energy. Unless he’s playing an attack-removal Pokemon. 20 damage + chance of Paralysis for 2 grass energy and then 50 damage for 2 grass and 2 colorless is good. Use that Double Colorless

Well that’s about it. Get Dark Vileplume out ASAP and attack with Scyther or Pinsir. And I’m going to leave you with this one little suggestion:

Don’t use an Oak with a hand full of energies. Remember there is no way to get any cards from your discard pile.

P.P.S Any errors in incorrect spelling, incorrect Pokemon, incorrect attacks or if I stated "kill Pokemon", I meant to say knock out, whatever though.  Anything of that sort was made by accident and was written at 2:30 AM. I was tired, so don’t yell at me about it. Yell at my fingers and brain.
