this article is a bit screwed up, and I'd like to comment on some of the
things he said... I'll put my comments under each of his paragraphs.

Hey everybody, Justin here again.  I've been reading some of the more recent
killer deck reports and I really have a thing or two to say about them.

Let's start at the root.  You can only make a GOOD psychic deck when you
have the cards neccessary (And not poor man's cards).  Then again, most of
the time, it's just cards that belong in other archetypes.  Here's what I
have to say about some common psychic deck errors:

Error #1: Kanghaskhan

This is a common mistake that annoys me.  If you have enough money to buy a
Kanghaskhan, you obviously have enough to buy a chansey.  These cards belong
in those lame Rain Dance decks, fetching, fetching, fetching.

First, you call Raindances lame? I'd like to see you build a winning one and
take a tourney with it...
Second, you say that Kangaskhan does not belong in Stall? I might have to
agree with you on this, BUT if someone did want some extra offense in their
stall, just to get rid of big threats, they might want some of these in
there.

Error #2: Gust of Wind

These pop up all over psychic decks.  This is a STALL deck, not a psychic
attack deck.  You're supposed to STALL in a STALL deck and ATTACK in an
ATTACK deck.  Got it? Good.

Are you INSANE!!! Dude, GOW belongs in almosr EVERY SINGLE deck out there.
What are you ganna do when your Kazam is up there and they have a Chansey or
something? Hmm... GOW could gust the Chanse back to their bench and bring
something else up, or you could let that Chansey eat your Kazam alive. I'll
let you pick...

Error #3: Bill

Please, please don't use this card in stall decks.  It makes them look bad,
and they only help you deck yourself.

Um, the problem is here, if you don't use Bill, where are you gonna get
those extra cards or that needed Kazam? If you've been playing for even as
short as 2 months, you should know how to handle a BILL pretty well, and
could use one in a stall And BTW, I don't care what my deck looks like to
other people, if it wins, I'll use it, okay?

Error #4: Prof. Oak

See above. . .

I don't think so... I don't care if you think it looks bad either. I could
play a few Oaks in a stall and have it still be effective.

Error #5: Scyther

Yuk, how disgusting.  I actually saw Scyther in a psychic deck.  He belongs
in Gaymakers, thank you very much.

WHAT!!! Like Spike said, Scyther just plain KICKS ASS. It belongs in almost
EACH and EVERY deck, just like GOW. It has free retreat, a nice offensive
power, 70 HP, and resist that hated Hitmonchan.

Error #6: Item Finder

Why keep using item finder to get trainers back when you discard 2 valuable
cards to get it.  You discard a Mr. Mime and an Alakazam to get. . .an
energy removal.  Not good.

Man, you gotta actually try playing these cards in stall other than just
assuming what will happen. Item Finder works in almost eveyr deck too, just
like Scyther and GOW. It helps you get back that Bill, ER, SER, or GOW.

Error #7: Pokemon Breeder

Once again, I say this.  WHY won't people wake up and realize that you don't
combine archetypes?  You do NOT need this in a STALL deck.

Okay, you could either have an Alakazam out turn 3, or turn 2. I'll let you
decide...

Error #8: Switch

Did someone forget about retreating?  Why waste the space with this card?

What happens when you have an energy-less Kazam up there with 60 or 70
damage on it? You could let it die, or switch it out...

Error #9: Tauros

Puh-leeze.  When was the last time you've actually played someone who used
tauros?  I can't remember the last time.  The reason- it's simple.  Just too
weak.

I might have to agree with you on this...

Error #10: Snorlax

Oh, brother.  Its attack is far too energy-intensive, its pokemon power is
useless, and its HP is awful.  Why use it?

Useless Poke Power?? I think not... Like some of the others said, status
affects are what mess up Stall, and Snorlax could actually be used in a
stall to help. It wouldn't be my #1 draft pick, but I'd consider it.

That's about it for now.  So please, if you make a psychic deck, don't
make them look like they're so weak and hybrid-archetypical. . .

You also seem to think that EVERY Psychic deck is stall. I guess we can just
throw away those Movie Promo Mewtwos and Jynxes now, right? Wrong... Almost
all Psychic decks AREN'T stalls anymore. I don't know one person who uses a
stall now, they just don't seem to work to well anymore.
