Playing Pokemon Trading Card Game is hard...specially when you're losing. But, one day, while I was losing...I saw this guy draw a Steelix from his deck. I thought, "Wow, cool. Steelix." And after much consideration (not really....) I decided to think up a strategy with 3 simple cards...

First of all, I need to tell you that....this is a flawless starategy. I've done it many times, and actually knocked out a decent Pokemon.

Recycle Energy- Recycle Energy is a key part to the whole thing. Just knowing (or thinking) that you're going to get knocked out is a definete problem. Speically when you're against some giant hp Pokemon like Charizard. Using Recycle Energy on Steelix, is a great strategy, knowing that you're filling in four spaces of blanks (any energies), It helps when in need of a decent attack, and with Steelix's hp, he'll hold out on his own. Recycle Energies are also helpful when you're in a jam (losing, or about to lose), and it helps if you put on...

Metal Energy- A Metal Energy. Helps your Metal Pokemon on defense. And do you know what that exactly means?? Why yes! Of course! You'll be able to totally defend your Active Steelix, and you won't get knocked out so easily. Plus, as an added bonus, you also get to fill in that annoying little empty Metal Energy space for Tail Crush.  This is a great card, and I've seen a lot of decks of mono-metal use this to beat someone with their Steelix or Scizor.

Steelix- Our final ingreediant to the strategy, Steelix is the big main Pokemon with 110 hp. With Tail Crush, and a stall tactic Tackle, you'll probably be able to either defeat or hold out on that Defending Pokemon. But, of course, there's also a bad side...more like bad sides to him. One is, the energies you need to energize this guy. I mean, look at him, you need about three of four energies just to get him ready to go. Another bad thing is his retreat cost. Four energies just to put him back on bench. Whoo....that is one bad cost. I really don't like the fact that he evolves from Onix...and just figure out how long it could take just to draw the energies needed for him, plus getting him on Bench! Yeesh.....ok....overload.

Well, that's all folks! Have a great time and I hope you enjoy this!
