Some cards
are dang overlooked, and are really good.
Let's take
my favorite card, Dark Arbok. Yep, D-A-R-K (space) A-R-B-O-K. It
is expensive. Enter Meganium! 2 Grass for 10 damage to all of your
opponent's Pokemon + Poison! I love it! 1 Grass for 10 to one of your
opponent's Pokemon (your choice) and no Power for that Pokemon. This
turns
off Charizard-Blastoise-Energy Flow decks, and Rain Dance, and hurts
Damage
Swap even more, and downs Meganium-Venusaur decks. Now add 1 Darkness. 20
to
all opponent's Pokemon for GGD and instant Poison. Ouch! But wait!
What
about Igglybuff? If it is Active thanks to GOW and Gaze didn't work (it
is
unrelible), Then with a heads, Dark Arbok KO's it. This card is very
good
with Meganium, Darkness Energy, and Gust of Wind.
Now let's
take Exeggutor. This dude kills with Meganium and Venusaur and
(optional) Giovanni's Nidoking for Energy Transfer from when it is
almost
Knocked Out. 2 Energies (Grass) become 4, Energy Transfer brings some
more!
Double the 2 just arrived, and you have 8 for to jive! 8 flips is
possible
160 damage! In the GameBoy TCG, I played against an Exeggutor-Venusaur
deck.
The Exeggutor got 16 Energies! After it took out my Charizard,
Venusaur
transferred almost all of them to other Pokemon! Needless to say, I lost.
I
play an Exeggutor-Meganium-Venusaur-G's Nidoking-Shuckle deck now.
I want to
look at Tyranitar. He's overlooked by a lot of people because of
Larvitar. Well people play Neo Discovery Butterfree even though Caterpie
is
exactly the same as Erika's Bellsprout with Careless Tackle. Larvitar
and
Pupitar are the first Rock Pokemon to resist to Electric Pokemon in
TCG!
Hooray! Sorry, Rocket's Zappy. Play Elekid, Energy Removal and Larvitar
and
you have fallen to Basic Pokemon! With Pupitar, you don't need Energy
Removal! Tyranitar is spendy, but good. Trample can murder, you know!
Well now we
look at Dunsparce and Abra. I like free retreat and Paralysis.
Oh yeah!
With a deck I call "Demon", Dunsparce helped tons along with Steel
Magnemite
(yes, Discovery Magnemite) and Espeon Rare. I want Espeon Holo-free
Retreat!
Dunsparce can hit and run well with a heads, or against Babies even
with
tails! Abra, too :)
So now,
Piloswine, my 2nd favorite. This card shuts down Snorlax,
Tyranitar, any Golem, Steelix, and Onix. In Rain Dance or Charblast
decks,
this card 'da dude! So long, Steelix, Slowking, Dark Vileplume! Now add
Dark
Muk and/or Rocket's Training Gym.
Charblast Deck List
4 Charmander (TR)
3 Charmeleon (Base 2)
2 Charizard (Base 2)
4 Squirtle (TR)
3 Wartortle (Base 2)
2 Blastoise (Base 2)
3 Wooper (Genesis)

2 Energy Flow (Gym Heroes)
1 Professor Elm (Genesis)
2 Goop Gas Attack (TR)
1 Lass (Base 2)

It is low on Trainers, I know, but hey, I love Mulligans! (sarcasm
there!)
