Hi, SludgeBomb here, with a report on Grass Pokemon. Grass has really
never
dominated the Pokemon TCG, so I decided to back it up, having about 5
Grass
decks. My first is countering Fire. How? Play Squirtle (Team Rocket)
and
other non-Water Energy requiring Water Pokemon. Also play Gyms in case
of
Cinnabar City Gym (have to hate that card!) Now countering Psychic.
Play
Murkrow with Poison Pokemon, as well as Togepi, Koga's Ditto w/ Koga,
and
maybe Dark Persian. Murkrow can lock and then switch with Dark Arbok
or
another killer Poison Pokemon (Discovery Beedrill, anyone?) and whup
that
Psychic Pokemon! Or keep Murkrow out and whack the cute little guys on
the
Bench up. (Well, can't call Sneasel, Rocket's Zapdos, or Scyther cute,
but
anyway...) Next step-Poison, Exeguseium (Exeggutor, Venusaur, and
Meganium),
or Paralysis/Sleep/Confusion, or a combination. Let's check out a
combo.
Ditch Sleep, except with Meganium. Also ditch Paralysis. My favorite deck
is
one with Giovanni's Nidoking, Meganium, Venusaur, Exeggutor, and
Shuckle.
Ok, ditch Shuckle because its focus is Paralysis. Now add Dark Arbok.
How
'bout 1 G's King, 2 Meganium (WG), 2 Venusaur, 4 Exeggutor, 1 Dark Arbok.
No
Trainers, Trainers (not counting Breeder and Pokemon Center) hinder
the
deck. Dunno why, the deck just doesn't need more focus. 3 Breeder, 1
Center.
There!
