Hi, it's Dragon Master with a what's on top report. I'll
be organizing it by type.
Metal:
Honorable Mention: Steelix
Dishonorable Discharge: Magnemite
Top 4 Metal Pokémon:
4. Forretress: Though it seems unviable, it's not horrible. Spikes, while
situational, if you can remove the Metal Energy, will be useful, and Rapid Spin
is good for keeping opponents on their toes. It has a chance.
3. Promo Scizor: Metal Pincer, while nothing to go ape over, can actually
be useful. Leer is situational, but Metal Pincer can be useful.
2. Skarmory: Although this card is overlooked and seems bad, it's really
not. Claw is not great, but Steel Wing with a heads will double his
Grass-Resistance, and even if it isn't a Grass Pokémon, it's solid defense since
it has resistance to everything on heads(with Metal Energy).
1. Neo Discovery Scizor: False Swipe provides defense with the Metal Energy
and serves as a startoff because it hits so hard. Double Claw, with a Double
Colorless Energy could then finish off what's left within the next couple of
turns. People don't realize this card's power, but if people take the time to
look at it, they'll realize it's a great card.
Darkness:
Honorable Mention: Sneasel
Dishonorable Discharge: Houndour
Top 5 Darkness Pokémon:
5. Tyranitar: Though overlooked by many, this card can be good if its
downsides are worked around. Its 2nd attack, if played with an Unown D on the
Bench, will keep your Benched Pokémon out of harm's way and put your opponent's
Benched Pokémon right into it. It is a Stage 2, and is hardly used, but it will
be massive nonetheless if used right.
