Hello All
This is my first time posting you call refer to me
as UniversalJuan. Anyway I just wanted to blow off some steam at people who
constantly say that Rain Dance,Stall,Haymaker and the like are unoriginal.
Hello? Some of us haven't even heard of what any of those were until we came
to Pojo or heard someone talk about it. I happen to use a Rain Dance deck
called Tsunami-Wave 3 and when I originally made it I had no idea what a Rain
Dance deck was! I just saw a good Pokemon with a great power and saw that I
had some extra Water types to use it with and so I made my first installment
of my Tsunami deck. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who stumbled onto a
deck that is widely played and didn't know about it.
Another thing I consider it rather harsh that you
call these deck types unoriginal. In that case lets say that about the
telephone. People took Bell's idea and turned it into their own making it
better more reliable. The same way people changed the phone idea people do the
same thing with decks. It takes the thought to use the deck and to come up
with the strategy for it. Have you ever considered that using one of these
decks takes a certain amount of skill to use effectively? I found that out the
hard way with my first Tsunami so I worked on it till it became the killer
wave it is today.
So what if a lot of people use the same deck.
Big deal. I say let them have their deck and tweak your deck till you can make
their deck look bad so that every time you challenge that person they know
they're in for a real challenge. Heck you should encourage people to build
those kind of decks. I love playing a Haymaker it lets me know where my deck
stands. I unfortunately haven't been able to play a stall deck in quite a
while. I always wanted my rematch against one of those things.
Anyway hopefully I got my point across. If I
changed your mind I'm glad if not well then to each man or woman his/her own.
HAND (Have A Nice Day)
See ya,
UniversalJuan
