put this in tournament philosiphies.
OK, when we started out, our decks had just about every single trainer, a
jumble of pokemon, and either way too little or way to much energy.
When we played, we would ay down all of our basics, and then put down the
one with the biggest attack active, play an energy, almost always on th
active. We would then play all of our trainers, and attack, if we could.
But when we start playing better, we recognize it by we're winning games,
spending more time playtesting, and having archetpyical decks more, no
offense to the archetype haters. I want to clear up exactly what is
playing like a pro.
#1.Usually, you are feared at your local card shop for being,
"unbeatable".
#2.Using a free-retreater as your starter. If you have this, and you draw
some awesome basic, you can retreat to bring it in. The one you retreat
for usually has a first rurn attack.
#3.Playing with cards such as mr.fuji, and scoop up. These are incredibly
useful. But put 2-4 Scoop up in, and 1-2 Mr. Fuji.
#4. Not putting ,ore than one stage 2 family.
#5.Always putting in at least 2 of a card.
#6. Last but not least, being a good sport when you lose, or win. i have
seen WAY too many spoiled kids that accuse me of cheating whenever I win.
The parents just make it worse. And when, and if, they win, they rub it
your face for the rest of te time.
So thanks for reading, and go play like a pro. (Or Scott Gerdhart,
whichever you feel like)
(No offense, Scott)
