Hi. Shaun here w/ my first report. I'm here
with my faithful Charmeleon
to help keep on topic.
Now I've seen a lot of decks where there is a specific need
to use the
Stage 1 or Pokemon Breeder, and only one. For example, why would you not
want to put a Breeder in a Raindance deck over Wartortle? I've come up
with
a list of guidelines
1. Does the Stage 1 Pokemon fit the theme?
2. Does the deck use any Stage2 Pokemon?
3. Is the deck based around getting a Stage 2 out ASAP?
4. Does it take a long time to power up the Stage 2
enough to attack?
5. Can the Stage 1 do a considerable amount of damage,
have a usable
Pokemon Power that fits the theme, or have any other useful quality for use
in the deck?
6. Can the Stage 1 survive on its own?
These questions should help you decide. Another thing
is if you have 4
of the Stage 2, you usually want to use Breeders since that usually means the
deck is foundated around that Pokemon. Here are some lists to help w/
archetypes
Decks where Breeders are recommended:
Raindance, Damage Swap (pure stall), Speedrill, Turbo ::insert Stage 2
Pokemon here::.
Decks where Stage1 Pokemon are recommended:
Damage Swap (damaging), don't have enough Breeders.
