Hello again, I'm Dragon Rage(you most likely don't remember me) with some
great combos for the once powerful Alakazam.  I know it's banned from the
ECSTS, but if you play anywhere else, then I hope this helps.  I've worked
myself into a sweat to provide revolutionary new Alakazam combos.  You
probably think,"What's this?  Has Alakazam seen potential in some Neo 2
cards?  Will I need to buy a lot of rares?  Is it out in English yet?"  Well,
you're in for a pleasant surprise, everything on my list has been out in
America since before Neo 1.  Let's get down to business, in random order,
here they are-
1. Mr. Fuji
This couldn't be more rudimentary.  Retreat Chansey, swap 110 damage onto it,
Fuji it and all that Energy back into your deck, where you can get to it
later.  It surprises me that more Damage Swap decks don't have this, because
damage swap decks are often stall decks, and Fuji puts cards back into the
deck.  This card won me a game once-both our decks were out of cards, I
Fujied Alakazam back into the deck, he lost because he couldn't draw a card.
2. Dodrio
Not only does its Power help with Kadabra and Alakazam's retreat costs, but
you can swap 60 damage onto it and Rage will knock out any 70hp basic.  Works
best with Gold Berry.
3.Erika's Clefable
Not only does the Clefairy have an attack which can get you Alakazam out
faster, but Clefable can get other Pokemon out of harm's way after Alakazam
swaps extra damage onto them to be removed.  And as long as we're on the
subject...
4.Clefable
As Pokemon get stronger and stronger attacks, the power to use those attacks
without paying the cost gets more and more broken, making this chubby pink
rarity and her cousin Erika all the more in demand.  Not to mention their
psychic resistance .
5.Erika's Dratini
Again, psychic resistance.  And if your opponent uses a Basic Pokemon,
Strange Barrier will preserve her while Alakazam swaps off 10 damage a turn.
6.Erika's Dragonair
Not only does flipping tails on Blizzard lose its threat when all that damage
can be swapped onto a self healing Pokemon or Fuji candidate, but you can
swap 70 damage onto Dragonair and use Take Away to be rid of it, and be rid
of your opponent's threatening Murkrow, or whatever else.
7. Brock's Onix
Play it, swap 90 damage to it, Fuji it.  If it's forced active, you can
Bellow to stall while you get your attacker ready.  Enough said there.
8. Sabrina's Venomoth
75% confusion and free retreat are nice, but the real gravy is if your
willing to include rainbow energy.  Healing Pollen heals all your Pokemon, so
swap at least 30 to each of your Pokemon and Healing Pollen can rid you of up
to 180 damage.  I'd reccomend Sabrina's ESP with that.
9.Pokemon Center
This one's obvious.
10. Tentacool
With Flee, you can rid yourself of 20 damage per turn.  I think someone
already said that.
11. Brock
Put at least 10 on every Pokemon, then with a full bench Brock will heal 60
damage.
12. Potion Energy
Swap a damage counter to who you were about to attach this to, it's gone.
13. 40HP Sabrina's Gastly
Attach more and more psychic energy to it, swap more and more damage onto it.
When it's become an enormous bloated mass, retreat and Fuji it with all that
psychic energy into your deck, wher you'll get the benefit of it later.
14. 30HP Sabrina's Gastly
By using Fade Out, you can rid yourself of 20 damage, but do 30 in the
process.
Now that I've shared this with you, I hope you can see Alakazam in a new
light.
