Hi every1:
I was looking threw all the set to see if i can dig a cool deck out and stumbled apon Giovanni's Pokemon...Hmmm...Giovanni...Who is that again? Oh yeah...Team Rocket's Boss...?
These cards aren't even spoken of. Why not? Well, let's take a look and find out.
Giovanni (Trainer): Choose one of your Giovanni Pokemon in play. If you have the right evolution cards, you may evolve it even if you have already evolved it that turn. To start off, has anybody heard of POKEMON BREEDER? This card is just a embarrasment to Pokemon Breeder and should NEVER be used.
Giovanni's Last Resort: Choose one of your Giovanni Pokemon and take all damage counters off of it. Then, discard your hand. Cool! Giovanni has a couple of Pokemon like Machamp,Gyrados,Nidoking etc. with lot's of damage. This card could be pretty useful. Hmmm, but discarding oyur whoel hand for this isn't that great when you have some cards in hand waiting to be sued properly. I would keep this card in the shoebox.
Now...Time for the Pokemon!
Giovanni's Magikarp/Gyrados: Magikarp: Ancestral Memory does 40 damage for a HEADS and cannot be used anymore while it is in play. Then for a water and colorless energy flip 3 coins, for each heads 10 damage. With 30 HP (the usual for a this fish) this karp is pretty impressive (probably the best yet), but...Untill we check out it's evolution...Gyrados: Summon Storm: flip 2 coin. If both are heads this attack does 20 damage no matter weakness or resistance. I hardly think you will get a lot of 2 head couples. But if you do...is it good? Since most pokemon don't have a resistance to water (yet) and some pokemon are weak to water, the outcome is cool, BUT TO ALL OF THE POKEMON IN PLAY? That means your Pokemon too...Nope not for me...let's check out it's other attack. Dragon Tornado: Does 40 damage and if the defending Pokemon isn't knocked out, you may switch it with one of his benched. This attack is obvious nothing special at all. For 2 colorless and 2 water energys it really ain't nothing special. Hmmm, h
Resistance to Fighting? Wow, there is something you don't see every day. Gyrados is Flying/Water type. I guess this Pokemon ain't bad...after...NAH! Here are 2 more dust collectors for you to collect.
Giovanni's Moewth L12&L17/Persian: Meowth L12: Pretend to Help: Look at the top card of your opponents hand. If this card is a trainer, discard it. If it isn’t a trainer add it to your opponents hand. This attack has no stradegy in it and should be called "Help your opponent". His other attack Double Scratch: flip 2 coins. For each heads do 20 damage is a nice solid attack for 2 colorless. Including his HP makes him really look pathetic. Not a favorite. Maybe his greater leveled brother is better. Meowth L17: Cat Flea: Flip a coin. If heads the defending Pokemon is confused. This attack is really bizarre being used by a Meowth. Nice ,simple attack. But Cat Kick that does 30 damage for 3 colorless energy isn’t a cheap attack. This Moewth is surely better then it’s L12 counterpart. Persian: Cool a Pokemon Power: Call Boss: Search your deck for a Giovanni Trainer card and add it to your hand. Are they serious? With only 2 Giovanni Trainer cards (both bad ones) in the set, why w
