Hey yall, guess what? The most hated man on Pojo is back with another
article. If you didnt like my last one, hehe, you prolly wont like this one
either. Ok so... Here goes...
After receiving a plethora of e-mails (17 negative, 5 positive, 2 neutral)
and seeing 3 posts that disagree with me, I had to write back. Well, wanting
to be the most hated man on Pojo also incited me to write back. Anyway, in
the negative e-mails, I was called cheap, greedy, and a butt-pirate(Still
wondering what that means). In the positive ones, I was called smart and
cool.
You see, I actually do like playing pokemon. I enjoy the money aspect of it
alot, and (usually) beating people under 4 turns. I also enjoy playing FREE
magic, hehe. Since the credit always surpasses the entry fee, I play free
magic, which is smart. And since I won the tourney for free tourneys for a
year, I make even more money. Why play in a tourney in which i would spend 5
hours playing control decks that use 400$ cards to place in second or third
when I can play in a pokemon tourney for 2 hours, always place in first and
win the same amount of money... Its just logical. I have a life too you
know. Hey, with school, a band, a gf and friday night open gaming at the
card shack, I dont have alot of time to waste.
Yes, I am greedy and yes, I am money driven. But, look around. The top 10
players in the US all use Haymaker/TuffStuff decks. If it aint broke, why
fix it? Its been winning tourneys for over a year... screw the fun stuff, I
wanna win. Just to get 1 thing clear, I dont only play 7 year old kids in
the tournaments. Some are 7, some are my age(13) and some are as old as 30.
Money is just scarce, and I see Pokemon as a source of extra income. With
that money, I was to make a food chain deck (plasce 2nd in a 30 man tourney)
with 4 Thorn Elementals and 4 Rhoxes (which are all very hard to get). And
with that money, I'm gonna make a brand new all new super new Stasis deck
that doesnt focus on Black Vise. For the people that have no idea what I'm
talking about, I'll get back to pokemon.
If you dont like Hays, make a deck that counters it. I made a No-Energy
stall which is just amazing... It has never lost... just takes alot of time
to play. Oh, and to people that say that Haymakers arent "fair", I
TOTALY
disagree. If your opponent COULD use it, it is fair. If it respects the
rules, it is fair. Just because it is good and you dont have the money to
make one or you cant beat it doesnt mean it is not fair.
You should play the deck that wins, cause in the end, its who won that
counts.
Anyway, I'm feeling tired so if anyone wants me to respond again, just keep
bashing me... you wont get rid of me any time soon.
Hey, I also made a resonlution. In every article I write, I will use the
word Plethora.
"Archetypes are a part of competitive play. You should've known what you
were getting yourself into. The big boys run this place, not your
pikachu/squirtle/charmander deck"
