As I did an article: Overview of Commons, I am now
doing this article: Overview of Uncommons. I will be rating the cards.
1. Master Ball
This card is pretty good, actually. Use with
Poke'dex to see if there are any Basic or Evolution cards in your 7 cards,
though Poke'dex only lets you look at five. Only problem: you have to show the
Poke'mon to your opponent!!! I give this a 7.0.
2. Challenge!
Challeng! has a twist to it. It's so good , people
forgot that you have to ask your opponent if he or she accepts! That means
that all your opponent has to say is: ''No'' or: ''I decline'', to totally
ruins your plans, not to mention the get - a - full - Bench - for - my -
Wigglytuff plan. Because of this, this card does NOT deserve a 10.0, but a
9.0!
3. Giovanni's Nidorino
Hmmm.... Nothing good here. Rend works well with
Fossil Gengar, but Rend will do 40 damage at most without PlusPower, and two
Cololess for a retreat is too much to waste on a Stage 1 like this( there
are much better Stage 1 cards with free retreat cost, as opposed of two, like Fossil
Haunter and Giovanni's Persian). And considreing that Rend is Giovanni's
Nidorino's only attack, well, what more is there to say...
5.0.
4. PlusPower
Simply adds damage. Nothing bad about that...
8.5.
5. Pewter City Gym
This card is good for Brock's Poke'mon which need
coin flips and which don't in order to do damage to Fighting Resistant
Poke'mon. This card deserves a 6.5, because it only works with Brock's
Poke'mon.
6. Cerulean City Gym
Makes retreat cost one less, as a Gym?! Dodrio can
do that! Cerulean City Gym gets a 4.0 from me, because it only works with
Misty's Poke'mon, and Dodrio Poke'mon Power has the same effect, except for
all Poke'mon.
7. Brock's Sandslash
Few Fighting Poke'mon deal negative status
effects, like Poison, which Brock's Sandslash can do with Needle Ball, with 30
damage as well. Swift isn't too shabby, either. This card gets a 8.0.
8. Dark Gloom
Attack is weak, but Poke'mon Power is somewhat
good to Confuse either Active Poke'mon. Nothing much here, but very good in
certain decks. A 7.0 is what this card needs.
9. Erika's Weepinbell
Poison Sleep is awesome, and Vine Whip is truly
powerful! And are we sure this is Weepinbell? Well, since this card is good,
use it.....
8.0.
10. Professor Oak
How could I not forget this card?! This card
advantage you get from it is TOO good! This card truly deserves a 10.0!
11. Blaine's Rapidash
If I haven't said it a million times, I haven't
said it once: Stamp is the ULTIMATE Scyther killer! Fire Mane is like
Hitmonchan's Jab: 1 Energy for 20 damage. Add Free Retreat Cost and you've got
a card which just NEEDS a 9.5 as a rating!
12. Lt. Surge's Raticate
Super Fang for one Energy, but it is Lt. Surge's
Raticate's only attack, and the more you use it, the less damage it does. 3.0
is what this card needs!
13. Sabrina's Slowbro
Honestly, I don't like Poke'mon that put
themselves into a negative status effect using an attack unless it is in
order to use an attack, or to make it stronger(for example, Koga's Arbok)
Naptime does this, and you can just slap two Potions on it for the same effect
without the Sleep. Screaming Headbutt is not my style; can only use the attack
one every other turn.
5.5.
14. Erika's Clefairy
Umm... This card just reeks the word: MEDIOCRE.
First thing: Why should I waste my DCE to do 20 damage when Hitmonchan can do
the same damage for one Fighting Energy. Second thing: Lunar Power is somewhat
not worth it. Cards like these get 2.5!
15. Sabrina's Kadabra
I have to end this list with a good card. Life
Drain takes down cards like Chansey quickly, and Psyshot isn't bad, for a
second turn attcak! This card deserves a 8.5.
