Hey all it's Gelati. I am here to mention a few
card combos. Now many of these you may have seen or know of but there are some
you may not have noticed before so I encourage you to read on :)
Chansey/Blissy/Scoop Up or Devolution Spray (nice
guy gave me this idea at league)
Description:
Blissy's (hope I spelled that right) Pokemon Power
allows for a possible 80 damage to be removed. Now in a "Stall" deck
that is one of the most handy things around :) If you combine Blissy with
Scoop Up or Devolution Spray you can just do the power all over again. In
simple term you can remove a whole lot of damage from Chansey/Blissy using the
Pokemon Power :) Forget what it is off the top of my head though srry :)
Sneasel/Fighting Types (Hitmonchan to be specific)
(same guy from above gave me this idea or at least thought)
Description:
Movie Mewtwo has really been the only thing
blocking fighting decks from being great. If you can work a Sneasel into a
fighting deck you can kill that Mewtwo and take at most minimal damage. Just a
neat twist to get back at those pesky MP Mewtwo's :)
PokeFlute/Gust of Wind/Item Finder
Description:
OK. Right off the bat I wanna say NOT to
underestimate that supposed "dumb rare" known as PokeFlute. Now for
the strategy of it. Put it this way. Your opponent is playing any deck with
the exception of maybe a haymaker. You knock out one of his low hp basics.
Some popular ones now days are Totodile, Hoot Hoot (because of Noctowl),
Gligar, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Sneasel just to name a few. Now say you
knocked out that basic. You play a Pokeflute and bring back that 40 - 60 hp
basic on the bench of your opponent. You then Gust of Wind to bring that basic
out and knock it out the way you please. This works especially well against
Sneasel because it requires Dark energy to do any real bad damage. When you
kill it the energy went to the pile with it (most times). Sneasel has only its
Fury Swipes to defend itself. Repeat this process as many times as needed.
Many times it can get you 2 -3 "cheap" prizes as many say.
Meganium(Wild Growth one)/Exeggutor (friend gave
me this idea)
Descripton:
Wild Growth = 2 grass energy for one when on grass
types. Exeggutor attack, Big Eggsplosion flip a coin for every energy attached
to Exeggutor. This attack does 20 times the number of heads. So to make it
simple. 3 Grass energy + Wild Growth = 6 Grass energy. 6 grass energy =
average of 60 damage (figuring 3 heads out of 6 flips). Add as many as you
want. My frined used Venusaur to transfer energy used in the begining to
Exeggutor but now days its not always good to have 2 Stage two's. Other
Pokemon that work well with this power are Pinsir (2 energy when Wild Growth
is on does 50 damage) and Rocket's Scyther as well as its cousin Jungle
Scyther.
Bellosom/Dark Dragonaire/Computer Search (saw and
learned from a friend who killed me with this kind of deck)
Description:
In simple terms you Computer Search for Oddish(s)
and then use Dark Dragonaire's Pokemon Power to search for Gloom(s) then
Bellosom(s) Now Bellosom's Flower Dance attack says that it does 3
times the number of Bellosoms in play. With this combo you should be able
to get out at least 2 - 3 Bellosoms fairly quickly for some major damage. One
bad thing about htis deck is that it relys (like many decks) on trianers.
As well as the threat of a Muk, Goop Gas Attack, and the up and coming
Pichu against Dark Dragonaire's Pokemon Power.
Well there are a few combo's that I learned from
people and myself that can be very handy at times :) Hope I helped a little or
just pleasured your eyes with this artical. It is just something I decided I
might want to share :) I will post more of these at later dates :)
Why not add a few Props and Slops :)
Props:
To the guys at league
For the fun time we have every week
To original deck makers (non archtype users)
Slops:
To Blastoise for not being able to attach many
water energies to any type besides water
To Archtype users (most some exceptions)
