Well, part 3 of my series is here!!! I am writing this running the risk of being
shot by a man gunman (no joke, some psycho shot some policemen this morning and
choppers have been combing the area around where I live, looking for this guy,
who apparently is carrying a silenced semi-automatic handgun and a revolver)
anyway, back to the analysis.this week- psychic. summary: psychic are mainly
stallers. they were pretty weak attackers until around fossil's release, where
we saw the the new gastly line, & the MP mewtwo.they still have trouble
getting in good hits on colourless pokés, but their problems are starting to
come to an end. psy deck types & what to put in them: invisible stall: this
deck revolves around getting a mr. mime up front and an alakazam & chansey
on the bench. swap any of mime's damage to chansey, & pokémon centre it
away. use cards to lower your opponent's draw pile & build up yours. then
your opponent decks & you win. you need mimes, chanseys, alakazam & it's
lower forms. You do NOT need energy for this deck to work, so you can either
greatly cut back on it, or use up all the space for cool trainers. psyburn: this
revolves around moltres & mewtwo to deck your opponent out. use moltres to
wildfire your opponent's deck, then barrier away. you need a decent staller,
mewtwo (base) and fossil moltres. curse: use gengar's power to play with your
opponent's damage counters & dark mind away. you need MP mewtwo, hypno (not
really),gengar and it's FOSSIL lower forms, since the base ones blow. damage
swap : keep the damage off your active, and pound away. you need alakazam and
it's lower forms, a heavy hitter, and chanseys. if you need to switch to stall
mode, use the chanseys. use them to keep damage too. what cards you need in MOST
psy decks: if you stall, alakazam or mewtwo base. both are great stallers in
their own way. you also need something to transfer damage to if you play
alakazam, and loads of NRG if mewtwo. if you attack, splash in something that
does a fair amount of damage, to avoid the resistance issue. what have we
learned about psy: psy is one of the strongest colours out there now. If you go
to a tourney, be prepared to face these powerful foes. If you play psy, you MUST
use something else to cover resistance to psy. A really strong colour by itself,
psy decks are some of the most viable ones out there. email comments, flames,
and large sums of money to sambo_srep@yahoo.com next edition, we'll cover the
home team of everyone's favourite fiery lizard, charizard! (in case you are
retarded or just plain stupid, we are covering fire, and if you had to read
this, you are a huge doofus. hopefully no-one will have to... ;p )
