Dear pojo and all u pokefreaks out there

I believe it is time for me to comment on the current pokemon disaster.I have been on net analyzing the pokemon scene on many areas.things have slowed down.once,pokemon tcg was seen sold almost everywhere.from the nearest seven eleven to the major comic shops.u could find it everywhere.and pokemon players where everywhere.this is the golden age of pokemon.but there can be no continuous rise.just like the US economy,pokemon soon reached it's max.and there came the crunch.what could be the cause of this??

now I aint no freaking genius,nor I am Albert Einstein.so if this is not true,dont feel offended.the problem are numerous and I will slowly look into all of them.first,the very image that pokemon represents.you know,pokemon is beening propagized as a kids game.now that is not a really bad thing.but if u ask me,will a normal 15/16 year old play a kids game????in the modern world,image is everything.now from where i live,before the dip,pokemon was still considered a rather grown up game,cause the people who played it where all associated with comic shops.so therefore pokemon was still considered ok.then along came the league and then the commercials of it.it showed kids playing it.common sense,when a friend of a pokemon player sees the commercial,what will people think??first comes to mind,still so immature.naturally older boys will slow down there pokemon activities.I have experienced the golden age.trust me.at that time,pokemon was still considered an ok thing.so the very image that pokemon portrays must be changed.

secondly,pokemon tournaments need to have wider propaganda.As in war.Information is ammunition.If no one knows that there is a tournament in the first place,how can that person attend it????Also,pokemon need to have wider propaganda in terms of cards,in this case I mean that people should be informed through articles in the newspaper or advertisements on TV.With this,people will know if there is new things to look forward to and also new people will know that there is a game called pokemon.

thirdly,the economy of pokemon.we all know that prices vary,but hey,but it this was.if the thing cost too much would people want to buy it???but yet if something is too cheap,then people will have all that they need and that also defeats the purpose of the tcg game.the thing is,like all things,we must find a balance.I once went shopping and found 2 shops.one sold cards at 15 a pack and another only 4 a pack.I thought wizards are suppose to keep tabs on these things.that is for the packs market,but the single card market is even worst,and this is the market which keeps the thing less stable.as the NASDAQ affected the Dow,the single card affected the packs market.many people con kids into paying huge amounts of money for one or two cards.put it this way.if a person is coned of his money into affording only on deck,he will sooner or later get bored with that deck and if he still cannot afford a new deck,he might just quite.which is I feel,the main reason why so many people quite pokemon.

next,comes the problem of the game itself.unlike magic,which need alot of time to develop strategies,pokemon is a much simpler game.we need no genius to tell us to combo a wigglytuff with a challenge or a charizard with DCE,pokemon is much more simple.and if a game is simple,it has advantages and disadvantages.advantage been that pokemon will be easily learnt and liked by people as it is easier to be a pro.but,we will get bored sooner or later with the present sets of cards.hey,there can only be many haymaker variations.if a game is kept new,will people lost interest???that is the question.

finally but not lastly,I feel that pokemon lacks hope.I know this sound very vague but please listen to me.in ever thing we do,we have a hope.like in studies,we hope to get a good job in the future,or in the terms of work,where we hope to lead a better life.

in pokemon tcg,what hope do we have????sure the league gives away promos and gives us badges,but what is the use of it if n one accepts it as a form of success?in this world,success is everything.a man is measured by his success in life,and success itself is measure in different ways like money or place in society.and if been good in pokemon tcg is not looked apon as a form of success,what hope is there to hope for?If a man told the world that he has found a way to live forever but it means that the person must be in a state of sleep,would the world accept it?would it be useful?sure u found a way to live forever,but live forver doing nothing?the main thing is,that person must find a way to live forever that is practical and acceptable by society.this is the same for pokemon.If it is forever looked as a kids game,what hope will a person have of playing a game people hope u would grow out sooner or later.magic the gathering has succeed in this part.it came with the pro tours,where prize was just hardcore cash,a thing accepted in society as success.this gave people hope.its like,hummm I can play magic and become rich so why not?pokemon on the other hand, failed to deliver this,that's why people lost hope in it.And without hope,how can one continue???

If u ask me,the only way for the spark of pokemon to rekindle is for wizards to release a new expansion in conjunction with a pokemon pro tour.make it an international affair where major countries can send in players and hope to win it.also,make in somewhere out of America.this way,people there will play in hope of winning qualifications and a trip to somewhere they haven't been before.the largest area of pokemon activity is still in America.so therefore if it was held somewhere else,pokemon will bring in tourist from all over the globe.also,in order to make the pokemon rekindle,countries up to bid to host this can be make to enter tournaments where pokemon player slog it out so as to win for their country.and this,in my opinion,will be the greatest hope of all,to work in the name of one's fatherland.
