I have a cool strategy with Neo 3 (I think it is) Tyranitar and Mr.
Mime.  Tyranitar has an attack that does 50 damage and requires you to
flip a coin for each benched Pokemon (yours and your opponent's).  If
heads, do 30 damage to that Pokemon.  This is devastating to both you
and your opponent.  However, with Mr. Mime's Pokemon Power Invisible
Wall, which prevents any damage done by attacks (including your own)
over 30, the possible 30 damage to Mr. Mime on your bench is prevented.
You may think "Why not just have no bench?"  But then, if Tyranitar is
Knocked Out, you lose.  So if you charge up Mr. Mimes on your bench, you
have good backup and a devastating attack.  So if you have access to the
Japanese cards, or if you wait till Neo 3, you could maybe pull off this
devastating combo.
