Hey, Pojo! Please post
this in the TCG strategies session.
I'm here to talk about a deck that I've made. First,
here's the
stats.
3 Psyduck
2 Golduck
4 Poliwag
3 Poliwhirl
2 Poliwrath
3 Gastly(fossil)
2 Haunter(fossil)
1 Gengar
11 Psychic Energy
14 Water Energy
4 Energy Removal
3 Pokemon Trader
2 Pokemon Breeder
2 Computer Search
4 Gust Of Wind
By now you should know what the main idea is: to send
out an
energy-destroying
Pokemon, use all the Pokemon Breeders and Traders, and Computer Search
to
heat up your bench and active Pokemon, then use a Gust Of Wind to call
out a
Pokemon with no energy(and a high retreat cost:Kangaskhan, Charizard
and Rhydon are good bets),and keep it that way with attacks such as
hyper beam
and Whirlpool. If you put some Omanyte in the deck, make a great
strategy by
using Omanyte's Clavorice(misspelled?)Pokemon Power to see the
opponent's
hand, then using Psyduck's Headache attack, so the opponent can't use
any threat-
ening trainers. Psyduck's evolved form, Golduck, is my personal fave
water Pokemon . for a Psychic Energy, you can do (Abra's) Psyshock, with
a chance of
paralysis. Then for 2 Water Energies and a colorless Energy, you can do
Hyper
Beam for 20, plus you can discard an Energy from the defending pokemon!
same thing for Poliwrath's Whirlpool , which does an additional 20
damage. Poliwhirl
is an excellent staller, and can stop Pokemon like Charizard,Machamp,
and
Dragonite dead in their tracks. and now with the NEW Gastly and Haunter
around,
defeating these pokemon will become much harder(what, with the NEW
Gastly
having a REAL attack((lick)),an everlasting "energy
retreival"(energy
conversion),
and no retriet cost, and the NEW Haunter, with an awsome Pokemon Power
((Transperancy:flip a coin. if heads, prevent anything done to
Haunter)).).
Adding a Gengar into the deck gives you an everlating "Plus
Power", and
with
8 Gusts of Wind and Energy Removals, you'll be sure to get your way.
