Hey All. I really love the Pojo and I ask sincerely
that you post this on your site at the strategy
section. Thanks.

Why is everyone thrashing Pokemon TCG?

I have been looking at the strategy section for Oct.
1999 and have found a very negative reports. Why is
everyone shouting at the top of their lungs "Pokemon
is dead (or dying)! Die Pokemon! Pokemon is
destroyed!" If you ask me, Pokemon is here, and here
to stay for a very long time, at least until something
bigger comes around, which is unlikely.

It seems everyone is so worried about prices and other
people, then turning around and saying "Have fun,
don't complain!" If that isn't stupid, I can't figure
what is. There was an article about how prices for a
Charizard was $80.00. So what? Then it said that
buying that Charizard would be greedy. No. It would be
a matter of oppinion, and that's what these
"know-it-alls" fail to communicate in their
"masterpieces" of "fine literature." Yes, you can find
a Charizard in a booster pack, and the chance of
getting one would be the same as getting a Beedrill.
Woa! Don't scream! Think before you act! If you go to
the WOTC site, they'll tell you that all the cards
with the "*" (or star) symbol are equally rare, just
some are more popular than others. So the chances of
getting a Charizard are the same as Beedrill, but you
wouldn't trade your Charizard for a Beedrill, would
you? You wouldn't buy a Beedrill for 80 bucks, would
you? Does doing that make Pokemon TCG a hell hole? I
think not. It just makes it a big business. So all
prices are equal, just some people are smarter than
others, and richer too. That doesn't make it a bad
thing, at least not for the rich guy.

Now sit down and stop yelling at me. Think for a
second. If you were to go out and buy a booster pack
with an Alakazam in it, and then you traded it for a
Magmar, an Electrode, and a Magneton, would you be
stupid? I think not. What if that Alakazam was a
Weedle? Haha! You traded quite well! But that was
still an Alakazam, a peice of cardboard worth $15.00.
Or was it? It was actually worth $17.00! Using the
Pojo price guide, you find that it was a smart trade!
But slow down! What if he gave you more? Or less? It's
all what it's worth to YOU, not THEM! There! Finally
to my point! That kid mentioned in a previous article
apparently valued Charizard to the amount of $80.00. I
do not. But that is my oppinion.

Now, don't get me wrong. Some of the people do say it
is their oppinion, but emphesize it as if it was
written in stone. That I do not wish to accomplish in
this, because not of it is written in stone. It is how
you value the cards. I did have an Alakazam once(I
traded a Ninetails for it, knowing I was going to buy
the Brushfire deck that same day...). So that means
that particular piece of cardboard was the aquivelent
of a Weedle to me. It was useless, for it could be
replaced. And I got that Ninetails, which made(to my
oppinion, not fact) that Alakazam free, which made it
the aquivelent of a Weedle to me. I then traded that
Alakazam for the following, which I had none of and
value very highly, though using my logic makes them
all Weedles: Magmar, Marowak, Electrode, Exeggutor,
Nidorino, Nidoqueen, and a Jungle Pikachu. Call me
stupid. I shall only laugh, for I can easily beat
Alakazam with many of them in few moves. And all of
those are worth millions more than Alakazam, right?
It's all in your head.
