Hi, Pojo, I love your site, could you PLEASE put this in your TCG strategy
section, it took me half an hour!
It's Evolution, baby!!
Most people don't realize that evolution is the key to a victory. Basics are
fantastic, yes, but what would you like to have more, a fully pumped Blastoise
or Venusaur or a fully pumped Hitmonchan or Scyther?
Bypassing weakness, Basics are only good for the start of the game. The only
two cards that are basic and that are actually USEFUL in the middle of a game
is Chansey and Electabuzz.
I once played a guy who boasted so greatly about his so called "Unstoppable
Haymaker". I played him with my Half Turbo Blastoise Half Dugtrio Rampage
deck.
He started off with a Hitmonchan and some Electabuzz's. I started off with a
Chansey as active and a squirtle on bech. On my second turn, thanks to Pok'emon
breeder, good ol' Blastoise came out and was almost fully pumped. Rewtreated
Chansey, and proceeded to smash his Hitmonchans to pieces. When he finally
realized that he should use ELECTABUZZ'S against my Blastoise, it was too late.
Blastoise got KOed, yes, but then out came Dugtrio with a RESISTANCE to
electricity. Heh.
Anyway, I have found that Turbo Blastoise decks are really weak against
Electabuzz's, so I added in Fighting, because of the Diglett family (Resistance
to Electricity!) and now I basically have (I'm not going to say invincible
deck, because although I haven't lost a game, I still might) one of the best
decks created. I've told you the main theme of it (Dugtrio and Blastoise, no
Gyarados or any other Water family, but LOTS of colourless), so try to make one
like it. It is SO effective against fire AND electric decks, and totally rips
through Haymakers and Grass decks.
Oh, and by the way, if you decide to copy my idea, give me some credit :) since
I came up with it in the first place! Oh, and by the way, the best pokemon is
Chansey ;)
