Hello Pokemon players!  Today, I am going to waste your, and my, free time
to wine and complain about what's wrong with this great game of Pokemon.
There are a number of problems with this TCG, (there always is) and I'm
writing about two major ones.  Disruption, and coin flipping.  First of all,
disruption.  I know everyone's favorite trainer out there is Energy Removal
or Super Energy Removal.  And that's one thing I think Wizards should've
thought about before they made them.  A little bit of disruption, like one
single Energy Removal, is no big deal.  But when the opponent uses two
Energy Removals, two Super Energy Removals, then Item Finders another Super
Energy Removal, and removes 8 energy of yours, and only 3 of his, that can
ruin anyone's game.  And in the mid or late game, that might be all of the
energy in his deck!  There go's that game!  I think that Wizards should not
have even made SER, because it is just going too far.  But now it's too
late.  Gust of Wind is another disruptor, but any good deck should be able
to counter that.  I don't think there are anymore disrupting trainers, but
that doesn't mean I'm done yet.  There are still the disrupting pokemon.
They didn't show their ugly faces until Fossil.  They are Aerodactyl, and
Muk.  Either can ruin an opponents strategy, and get a little out of hand
too.  Aerodactly kills any hopes of bringing a rain dance to a tourney, and
so does Muk.  And Damage Swap is gone too.  That leaves the only successful
tourney decks being the original Haymaker, no evolutions, and the modified
Haymaker, with Aerodactyl or Muk.  Next, it's time to complain about the
coin-flipping part of Pokemon.  When Wizards made this part, they thought it
would be a 50/50 chance, making it fair.  But you would disagree if your
opponent kills two Hitmonchans and a Scyther with his one Lickitung, and
nothing else.  I've heard some say that they should just take any coin flip
part of a move off, and add 10 damage.  But then Lickitung would be
disasterous!  I think this was one of those times when Wizards wasn't
thinking about the kids playing the game, only about the profits. (Aren't
they always?)  I understand that you probably think that I should calm down,
it's just a kids game meant for fun... but when you are in the finals of the
tourney, playing for 1st or 2nd, with a prize of 90$, then he brings out a
Nidorino, and flips 8 straight heads on Double Kick, and kills every guy of
yours off in one turn, you just might understand.
