There is always a lot of talk about the best cards in the Pokemon TCG.  This
is only my opinion and some of you will think I have no idea what I'm talking
about and others will think, "yeah he's really on to something."

My Choices For The Best Cards

1 Articuno=the attacking power of a stage one (Gyarados and Dewgong) but this
bird's a basic!  His first attack takes three waters and does 30 w/possible
paralyzation and the second takes four waters and does 50 with no damage to
Articuno and possible damage to their bench.  Look past the average HP and
possible damage to your bench and you'll see why I think he's so great!

2 Hitmonchan=again a basic but he takes fewer energies.  However, his moves
are a little less.  His HP is average, but his moves have no backfire.

3 Gyarados=great, simply great.  50 move, 40+paralyzation, and 100 HP.  I
find he works well in a lot of situations.  Only downside is his crappy
basic, Magikarp.

4 Hitmonlee=again a basic Pokemon.  His first move does 20 to a benched for
two fighting energies.  His second does 50 for three fightings.  Uhoh, only
60 HP but that's ok considering his offense.

5 Charizard=ok, ok, he does discard energies, but look at the numbers--they
don't lie.  I'll admit I am not a big Charizard fan or a fan of fire Pokemon
but a 100 move for four energies of any kind and 120 HP makes this guy an
extremely good card.

6 Dewgong=ok, I do like water Pokemon, but this guy is great!  Two waters+one
colorless for a 50 move and two waters+two colorless for a 30+possible
paralyzation.  His 80 HP is above average and his basic, Seel, has 60 HP.

7 Mr. Mime=what an annoying card!  I hate him I hate him I hate him!  But he
does have a great Pokemon Power and a not-too-shabby attack.  However, his HP
is only 40 (BAD).

8 Kadabra=the most underrated Pokemon (except for Dewgong) has a 50 move
(which is astronomical for a psycic) and Recover for only two psy energies.
Only downside--HP=60.

9 Clefable=anyone's move for one energy?  That's great!  70 HP is just
average.  However, his potential is amazing!

10 Venusaur=great power, and a 60 move.  His evolutions aren't bad and 100 HP
is great as well.

CLOSE CALLS=Blastoise, Dugtrio, Gengar, Raichu (both), Zapdos (both), Golem,
Hypno, Chancey, Kangaskhan
