As a 34 year old male, I consider myself somewhat of an
anomaly when it comes to the Pokemon TCG. I played magic
for years and slowly grew tired of the massive amount of cards
that were being introduced. My wife suggested we play
Pokemon and the rest is history.
I find when building a deck the first thing you should do is
decide if a particular card you are using is really that useful. I
mean if you put say 4 switches in your deck and find that you
are constantly holding them in your hands you may want to
take them out.
Here is a deck I recently built and great success with.
3 areodactyls
4 mysterious fossils
3 muk
3 grimer
4 jigglypuff
2 wiggly tuff
3 magmar
4 double colorless
13 green energy
12 fire energy
4 energy removals
1 Mr.. Fuji
1 scoop up
2 potions
it seems to work great, but can be difficult to play if your draw
is bad.
anyway have fun and enjoy.
