Hey!
This is Tom Dewsnap with some deck building tips. Building a deck isn't just
merely choosing the strongest Pokemon, or the most defensive. Sometimes, the
best decks revolve around a single card. Here are some of the best cards in
which to do this.
Super Energy Removal and Energy Removal
That equals a denial deck. This deck revolves around these two trainers, so
instead of having strong Pokemon for this, you choose Pokemon which have got
energy removing abilities. These include Dragonair, Poliwrath and Golduck.
So, a good solid base for this deck would be:
4x Dratini
4x Dragonair
and either:
4x Poliwag
3x Poliwrath
4x Pokemon Breeder
or
4x Psyduck
3x Golduck
and for trainers, just add 4x SER and 4x ER with RSA.
Erikas Clefable
Basically a scoop-up, so useful cards in this deck would definatly have to be
quick basics. Mew, Hitmonchan and fossil Magmar would work best. Posibbly Ditto
and MP Mewtwo would also work.
No Removal Gym
This is the total opposite of the SER deck, as the 2 cards don't agree with each
other. This type of deck should avoid SER and ER's at all costs. Good cards to
have would be Evolutions which require plenty of energy. Arcanine, Gyrados and
Zapdos would all fit comfortably here. So:
3x Electabuzz
4x Fosill Zapdos
4x TR Magikarp
3x Gyrados
Good trainers to include would be Lass and RSA, so you can stop them replacing
the stadium card, and possibly Imposter Oaks Revenge would work.
4x Lass
3x Imposter Oaks Revenge.
Dark Vileplume
Very interesting this one. This deck should have a few trainers as possible.
Perhaps Oak, Bill, NGR and GOW but that's it, otherwise you would find yourself
at a disadvantage. Golduck would pair up very nicely in this deck, not only
would it fend off all fire Pokemon, it would also act as an ER every turn. A
good starting base is;
4x TR Oddish
3x Dark Vileplume
4x Psyduck
3x Golduck
with trainers as;
3x Oak
3x Bill
3x GOW
and I would probably stop at that with the trainers.
And lastly....Dark Dragonair
A vital card in evolution decks which require lots of evolving. It is best to
build a deck with hard hitiing stage2 cards, with a few Chanseys or Lickitungs
to stall, with NGR to get back vital energy. You can also throw in Dark
Dragonite to get those basics. This is what I would have:
4x Dratini
3x Dark Dragonair
2x Dark Dragonite
4x Erikas Oddish
3x Erikas Gloom (lv.24)
2x Erikas Vileplume
3x Chansey
TOTAL 21
With at least 4 NGR's in the trainer department.
Hope you enjoyed this, and found it useful.
