Everybody has different feelings about Base 2. Some people think it is a
waste of money, while other's point out it is a nice set because it has
combines the best of Base and Jungle. Well while trying to get those popular
rares you probaly have a shoebox full of commons. So I am here to give you a
run down of what I think are the top 10 commons. Yes, I know some people
think commons are only useful in a shoebox, but I feel different. I think
some cards have some good points and could be used. So here is my top 10
commons in Base 2
10. Diglett- Most people are probaly saying no way. Okay, 30 hit points is
low, but 30 resistance to electic is nice and a free retreat. For 1 fighting
energy you can d0 10 damage. While 2 fighting energies get you 30.
Electabuzz killer!
9. Spearow- 50 Hit points and resistance to fighting are about the only
thing that gets it on the top ten. Peck for 1 colorless does 10, and Mirror
Move for 3 colorless is okay.
8. Cubone- 40 Hit points is low along with a retreat cost of 1. The one
things he is good for is slowing down Rocket Zapdos. 30 resistance to
electic plus for 1 colorless you can do Snivel which reduces all damage by
20. Meaning you could reduce 50 damage per turn.
7. Nidoran Female- 60 Hit points is really good for a basic pokemon. Plus a
possible 30 damage for one grass. Only drawback is that you have to flip
coins so that lowered it.
6. Rattata- 30 Hit points and free reteat. What makes this card number 6 is
two things 1. For one colorless 20 damage 2. 30 resistance to psyhic. I beat
a Mewtwo with Rattata, if played right it can be a really good card.
5. Staryu- Yes, I know it has low Hit points, but 20 damage for 1 water
energy is good.
4. Jugglypuff- This card alone is pretty good. 60 hit pionts plus 30
resistance to psyhic. Also sleep for one colorless and 20 damage for 2
colorless.
3. Charmander- 50 Hit points. Plus, 10 damage for 1 colorless energy. For 1
colorless and a fire you can do 30 damage only bad thing is thta you have to
discard a fire energy.
2. Onix- Basic common pokemon with 90 hit points need I say more? Attacks
are not all that great and retreat is high.
1. Machop- 50 Hit points plus 20 damage for 1 fighting energy.
Hope this helps you clean out that shoebox and bring to light some nice
common cards.
